Post [REFERENCE] How to get an Android kernel up to date with linux-stable

That's not how it works. And no, nobody can really "help" you go from 3.x kernel to a 5.x kernel. Those are two completely different kernel generations to begin with. Then comes all the drivers and a bunch of troubleshooting, etc, etc.

Why do you have to "manually enable" them? It's a big.LITTLE architecture, LITTLE cores do most of the work, big cores come on when they're needed for heavier workloads.
  12. shhnedo

    Post [BULLHEAD][10.0] PixelExperience [OFFICIAL][VoLTE][2020-10-16]

What do you mean "enable"? They're working by default. If you've flashed a blod fix of any kind on a previous rom, it shouldn't be present on PE after a clean flash.

Photo previews in the camera app don't lag. That's the first thing I noticed even on PE Pie. Then there's native dark mode. Then there's customization. And if your phone isn't counting its last hours of life(not talking about battery, more like CPU/RAM/Storage), it's actually a decent performer...

There's no battery drain issues on my end, but I clean flashed the latest build(formated data as well). MY problems are purely hardware related, my N5X doesn't age well it seems. I'm probably selling it soon so I can buy something fresh with better specs.

If you already have a proper working twrp on the device(preferably 3.3.1-0 or newer), then you just download the rom to internal memory, wipe /cache, /data, /dalvik-cache and /system, flash the rom, flash gapps, (optional) flash magisk and you're on.

Post why so "less" development ?

For there to be active development and/or many developers, the device must be widely available and relatively popular. You can't expect all those things to be a fact barely few months after device release. Seeing as it has great specs and is reasonably priced, it's just a matter of time until...

There's conditions that have to be met in order for a device to get official status and regular builds on PE website. Plus, it's not mandatory for a build to be official. You could always check the lineageos changelog for the device. Yes, LOS builds do contain the relevant security patches. Battery drain depends more or less on the user. At this point, LOS is solid enough to not be the key factor for battery drain. 1.5-2 days of battery life is pretty normal for...
