If You are unsure how to use ADB connections maybe You shouldn't practice on Your projector...
Else there are quite few how-to's both here on XDA and on Google/Youtube.
Yepp, must agree on that.
Just hoping to find one with at least 720p, Android 9 (or later) and properly sized HW that's still is as portable as T2 to reasonable price. Any ideas?
A question I can't find answer to:
Is it possible to "lock" the setting for maximum BG processes to 1 so it's persistent even after shutdown/reboot?
Edit a config via ADB?
I'm just trying to streamline this little beast as much as possible without rooting (unless really necessary).
Search for 'permissions'
Open 'App level permissions'
Open '> See all'
You should have the banking app in the list and set required permissions.
BTW: Android One and MIUI never had exact same settings menus...
Full glue screenprotector (black border)
(Bought at local store)
* Full glue fitting = excellent touch
* Almost impossible to see
* No sharp/rough edges
* 9H hardened glass
* Quite easy to fit
(Note: It's same as for 6.2)
Just bought a 7.2 and after few days of use I noticed that if I leave the phone in charger (supplied Nokia charger) it shuts down itself after random time.
* Facrory reset: no effect, same behavior.
* With/without SIM and or SD card: same behavior.
Any ideas or should I return it?
Strange, I never had any issues with BT. I'm using various BT devices daily since day 1 without any issues.
(Huawei watch, headphones/headset, LG soundbar, ...)
And battery life isn't affected that much either. Phone has been updated regularly.
Never unlocked or rooted and no facebook bloat...
If Your "current phone" is MIUI based I fully agree as my GF's oldish RedMi (~4 years) still gets updates.
But Android One is (was?) different baby, it's not one Xiaomis priority/flagship line phones.
That may (or may not) change with newer Android One's (like A3) but I'm pretty sure MIUI based...
Well, economics is the biggest reason.
As the phone is "old" the company (regardless of brand) is more interested in selling new phones than supporting old ones.
A1 is 2 generations old (A3 has been out for a while now) and therefore least interesting for Xiaomi.
I'm NOT saying the we are not...
I'm using Google Play services beta (frequently updated) since a couple of months without any issues/problems. what so ever.
The issue isn't very common as there aren't that many reports regarding that.
Have You tried to remove Your Google account as suggested above?
As last resort, do a...
Battery issues have been and still are most individual.
I (for example) have really good battery time, running 100% untouched stock (for the first time EVER).
Some users have reported battery issues when using Dual SIM, others with USB host. But still that doesn't affect most users AFAIK.
I just don't get why Your'e cross-posting same question all over the place...
Please stop that, it's just childish!
What issues are referring to?
Most users (including myself) doesn't have any bigger issues.
Battery time is good/fair, GPS is working as well (some issues reported, not that...
Personal impression is that this is only/mainly Google security patches.
Most likely this is what we can expect the rest of the life-cycle of this phone..
Xiaomi's interest of A1 is fading quickly, and that's nothing unusual or unique.
I had my A1 lying around turned on for three days while I was away using my "work phone" and to be honest I'm pretty impressed over these figures.
No SIM-card but BT: On, GPS: On, WiFi: On, AutoUpdates: On, I.e. just like phone was in daily use.
Same here, first ever un-touched stock. I'm still satisfied with this mid-low budget phone and that the OS is (pretty) free from "customization".
It is (was) a good bang for the buck when bought in Nov. -17 and still does it's job.
Features like GCam and similar were never promised or supported...
There was similar discussion a while ago with some solutions/workarounds:
BTW : My backup is working fine since I did the steps I wrote in thread above...
OK, Feb update after 2 days:
- Battery time: Same as before (perhaps even slightly better) with 2 SIM (same operator).
- FP feels a bit snappier.
- Mic volume: no change, still a bit low (that should be a easy fix for Xiaomi!).
- BT: smartwatch and headset works as expected, no issues.
Strange but my A1 doesn't have any issues with battery drain with two SIM-cards.
Boths sims are Telenor. Could this have any impact?
After 9hrs on desk it has lost only approx 10% battery and still there is approx 15 mins usage (that's not shown on battery stats...).
Dont ask me why or how but this worked for me:
In 'Backup' the button was greyed out...
I clicked on my account (e-mail)
Wrote same e-mail as original
Received error and backed out.
All the sudden the 'Backup now' button is active again!!
(I replicated this twice!)
Nope, battery life is as good as earlier.
Approx 65-75% left every evening after a day with "normal" use: few calls, some Youtube,... WiFi on, BT on, GPS on (high accuracy).
Some of Your apps not going to sleep? Some messenger/FB/... ?
You looked here...
I haven't heard anyone complaining about low volume not even when both parts are using MI A1.
So AFAIK that's not a generic issue and if it is it can't be that bad as there isn't a storm of complaint's neither here or at miui.com.
