    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

I can only explain the sdcard issues with the Samsung update to their sdfat driver - which is basically our exfat driver. I will roll back from 2.4.5 to 2.3.0 for the time being.

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

In theory yes, you can conitnue to use lineage-18.1 branch for the kernel in the meantime. I say in theory because there will be a change soon with building the modules into the kernel, which requires a change in the init files. So either you should revert that change in the kernel, or pick the...

did you by any chance select the option to update the built-in recovery with system updates? it might be tgatbwhat you are seeing there is the LOS recovery, which is currently broken, that replaced twrp. i have also fixed los recovery since then, so that black screen at least shouldn't happen...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 1.0 [2021-01-17]

i was referring to the issue of not being able to boot into recovery. as for why the system isn't booting, obviously something during the flash was not done right, seeing as I myself upgraded 2 different devices from los17.1 without a problem and a clean flash also works without issues both for...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

yes. that being said, if you value your data, it doesn't hurt to make a backup - I only back up data from within ROM with TB. also, a backup is not really a backup unless you've also gone through the restoration process once and confirm it works ;)

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

For me it worked fine flashing in this order: 1) 18.1 (2.0) 2) opengapps 11 beta 3) magisk 21.4 (was still on an older release) 4) possibly wiped cache/dalvik but can't remember 4) reboot & profit I also linked a new twrp build some posts back you could flash first.

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

in theory they should. if this is really the case though I can't say. i never tested this myself. i rather to a backup from within the rom these days using TB (seedvault is also a built-in option now). there is also the added complication of google changing how keys are generated between...

see if you have access to the files from twrp. if not, maybe from adb with root. then you could at least transfer the files and format again.

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

no, that's probably not possible, since it's probably in the bootloader. It has also always bothered me when turning on/rebooting the phone in the dark but i don't think there is anything we can do about it.

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

encryption is done by default. but if you dont set a pin/pattern for lockscreen, it should use the default key to decrypt. so if you don't have those set, try to set a pin for lockscreen, reboot to twrp and see if it decrypts then when entering the pin. then remove the pin again and hopefully it...

on one device I did upgrade to the new one, on another I didn't. so for flashing the ROM it didn't make a difference. for triggering the automatic magisk update via addon.d script, the new one might be required, but I'm not sure. you can try those steps, but not sure it will help.

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

Upgrading from 17.1 is a great idea and it worked without any problems on my end on at least 2 devices. Why didn't you flash a new gapps build right after flashing 18.1? Obviously Android 11 requires an Android 11 gapps to work as well... Just for kicks (i usually run my own builds) 2 days...

I can't test video calling at all. my carrier used to support it but dropped it since then. would need logs and description of what the problem is - assuming your carrier does support it. We can't add anything unless it is enabled carrier-side and the used .mbn supports it for this carrier...

Until modpunk uploads his own new twrp build, I have uploaded one here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=17248734326145719932 You can't do zip signature verification (our keys differ) but it will keep you going until then.

Unfortunately, I am not sure there is much that we can do. The stock library that we need for the stock camera app to work properly (libimageprocessorjni.so) is not liking the new Android 11 libgui. Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

you can dump the stock ROM into a folder and point the extract script there - you need the kernel (for ramdisk), system and vendor. someone once wrote up a nice little tutorial, I'll have a look for it. edit: the main reason why we only keep pinned/modified blobs there is to make the repo...

this will still take some work, both for the device and from Los upstream. i just wanted to get a little ahead of the curve so once 18 is in a good state with mist features added, we don't have to spent much time on getting it to run. don't expect an 11 release for a bit still. 17.1 is still...

They are tied to the platform (yoshino) it seems, it looks like lilac can also theoretically use poplar (and probably maple) mbn's - at least fsg for fsg and dsds for dsds device, but that's purely speculation on my part. But those from other Sony devices (e.g. tama) won't work. So they are tied...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

no, don't flash those files, there is no need. since your carrier is not not supported for ims, it should have chosen the default modem for you, no idea why this is Vodafone now. We are now in the same situarion as before, just with a different mbn that shouldn't be there for you. I'll have...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

That's possible. But (usually) we are dependent on a specific modem customization which are all provided by Sony for each supported carrier (which is what those .mbn's are). And since we are not receiving updates anymore for a while now, there also haven't been any updates or new additions to...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

Right, that oem is fairly specific for T-Mobile NL. I still have to look up why it chooses to use that mbn for you. I recommend you flash the oem sin from the BLX (Benelux) FW instead. Your carrier doesn't provide IMS capabilities - at least not in stock and so not for us either. edit: It uses...

test-keys over test-keys should be fine. AFAIK they are always the same. edit: BTW, usually a complete nuking of out/ (or running make clean) shouldn't be necessary. I usually just do a 'make installclean' in case files are supposed to get removed, etc. Much faster and should be all you need. I...

    Post [ROM] LineageOS 18.1 UNOFFICIAL - 2.0 (Update: 2021-01-20)

You can not flip-flop between testkeys and devkeys, and also not between different devkeys. There are ways to do that, but it requires flashing a .zip from LOS (check wiki if this is still a thing - haven't check in a while), boot and then switch to a build with a different signature. just...
