Flashed this from stock Samsung A11, had issues getting past the setup stage with OpenGapps but reflashing with NikGapps works without any issues.

Post Activate a VPN with only L2PT

I assume you mean L2TP? Not sure if it's possible unless the VPN you're using offers a separate app that may be able to help. This is not limited to the XZ Premium so you may be much better off asking in other places that deals with Android in general.

Post [APP][4.1+] Kiwi Browser? Chromium + Adblock + CAF + Night Mode 2021-07-29|Active

Just wanted to say thanks for the latest update, extension support so far seems to be working well for the ones I've quickly tested (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Decentraleyes, Nano Defender, Bitwarden, xBrowserSync). I noticed the default built in adblocker conflicting with uBlock Origin so I...

Post My sony xperia xz premium won't work in conjunction with an apeman projector, why?

Because there's no display output from the phone, there's no MHL, Slimport, USB Type C video, etc output from the phone at all.

Post Android 9 Pie Bugs Report (New Update : 47.2.A.10.28)

That's a pie thing, Google removed WPS support but plans to add it back in a future release (either 9.1 or 10): https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/79404939#comment10 Although WPS should stay removed as it's pretty unsecure.

    Post Sony XZ Premium PIE 47.2.A.0.301/6 - 2.33 - 4.41/45 -6.3 -8.24 - 10.28/45/62/80

Yup no updates looking at XperiCheck for both single and dual SIM versions. Strange how the UK networks have Pie yet the unbranded one doesn't.

Post CPU Throttling Test on XZ Premium

It seems it does throttle, with the CPU speed on the higher cores dropping from 2.36GHz to 2GHz. This is with a year old XZP, tested with charger off, and a thick Spigen case on. However, in terms of actual every day use, I don't see any slow down at all, even with gaming. Is there a reason...

Post My Youtube no longer have the 4k Option after Oreo update. is this normal ?

For normal non HDR videos 4K is still there. But videos with HDR is now limited to 1080p due to performance issues with pretty much every device: http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/11/04/hdr-youtube-app-now-maxes-1080p/ Shame they don't offer an option to just watch the non-HDR version instead.

I'm aware of that, but it should still be able to see his main Google account, which he was asking. Granted it still won't sync due to the API issue, but at least it will be able to see his account.

Ever since I updated to stable 53 large webm videos seems to start glitching. Tried a reinstall but the same happens. Also noticed the search engine randomly changes every now and then like I noticed from the alpha/betas. 52 has been the most stable and reliable for me so far.

    Post [ROM][AOSP][03/12] halogenOS 8.0 for OnePlus 2

I think you're getting mixed up with something, the official CM uses the source kernel code from the official OOS 3.0.2, and requires the OOS 3 firmware and modified TWRP, unlike the unofficial ones which used the official TWRP and OOS 2.2 firmware due to depending on what they had from Lollipop.

Post [ROM] [6.0.1] Official CyanogenMod 13

Not zoomed, just showing the wrong ratio. The camera takes pictures in 4:3 but the app displays it as 16:9. You can set the camera to take pictures in 8MP (16:9) as a "fix" or use a different camera app. I tried Google camera but for some reason it doesn't always take the picture after pressing...

Post Nexus 6p's charger for oneplus 2

Pretty sure that's only if you use a cheap low quality charger. As long as it's a good quality charger, then it will be fine. I've been using an Anker multiport charger for over a year with no issues. Got the USB-C compliant Anker cables recently as well, the default OP2 cable isn't exactly...

    Post [ROM][9.0][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS [2018.11.23]

Ehh... it's kinda more like Google keyboard being based on AOSP, but with a few extra from Google. I doubt AOSP will include the extra new features seeing as Google is abandoning a few of the AOSP versions of their apps. It's easier just to grab it from the Play store.

    Post [ROM][9.0][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS [2018.11.23]

CM uses the AOSP keyboard, not Google. It will depend more on the gapps package you're flashing.

    Post [ROM][9.0][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS [2018.11.23]

From OOS 2.2.1, all you need is the CM zip file and gapps, Open gapps mini being recommended: http://opengapps.org/ Just flash a custom recovery, wipe system, cache, dalvik cache and data, then flash the CM file and gapps right after, then reboot. SuperSU is optional, if you use root often and...

Post Oneplus Two DUALSIM and dual whatsapp ?

Derp, corrected. Another option for dual WhatsApp accounts is to create another user on the phone, meaning you don't have to root/look for unofficial clients, but it will be more messy switching between the two.

Not 100% sure on this but the search assistant has been replaced with Google Now on Tap. I think you need at least the mini gapps package for this, the smaller ones don't offer it. Works fine when I long press the home button.

I think I noticed the wifi issue while at work today, not sure if it's the same issue that everyone else is noticing. On the latest build, I just noticed I'm having issues casting to my Nvidia Shield TV. Apps like YouTube, Twitch, and even the screen mirroring option in the notification toggles/Settings -> Display & Lights -> Cast, it tries to connect but fails to do so. This happens on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz...

Managed to get around to flashing the ROM, it's running very smoothly. Came from stock Lollipop and had no issues. Post I do not have USB Type-C to usb 2.0 converter

USB is backwards compatible with older standards, such as 2 being backwards compatible with 1, 3 being backwards compatible with 2 and 1, etc. Obviously it depends more on the physical connection (such as type A, B, C).
  45. KiraYahiroz

Post I do not have USB Type-C to usb 2.0 converter

You mean USB type C to USB type A right? Both ends are USB 2.0 anyway, the supplied cable will connect your phone to any USB port on your PC.

Post Are you concerned about the phone using the S810?

Wrong, there are some hardware changes from v2 and v2.1: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9388/comparing-snapdragon-810-v2-and-v21 The most significant changes is memory bandwidth within the cache of the SoC, which should feed the CPU and GPU better.

    Post [APP][4.0+] #NoChromo - A wild ad-blocking browser appears [v51.0.2695.0][2016/04]

The Xperia E4g runs Kitkat which is only 32-bit, even if the SoC is 64-bit. You need Lollipop to run the 64-bit version. Snapdragon 801 is ARM 32-bit. x86 is a different instruction code from ARM which only Intel SoCs support so far.

    Post [APP][4.0+] #NoChromo - A wild ad-blocking browser appears [v51.0.2695.0][2016/04]

Found this the other day, really loving it! I've been using other browsers for adblocking but they either don't offer bookmark sync, or have poor performance. This browser however pretty much meets both my requirements! Thanks!

Post Are you concerned about the phone using the S810?

I'll be waiting for reviews. Apparently the Z3+ uses the 2.1 revision too so that doesn't give me much hope, but OnePlus's may or may not tame the beast.
