The consequence would be not being able to use the touchscreen. So your only option (if you went ahead) would be to use a mouse through an OTG adapter. I don't recommend it. I think you need to boot into any recovery(for this device) using fastboot boot "recovery".img. From there you can flash...

Post [ROM][11.0][Unofficial] DotOS 5.2 for Motorola G9 Plus

That's great news! Congrats man! Would it be too much trouble to integrate the adaptive performance/app forecast feature that is in the stock A11 ROM in this one? In my experience, when it comes to stune boost. It seems like values over 10 are overkill for this soc. If you can incorporate zygote...

Post [ROM][11.0][Unofficial] DotOS 5.2 for Motorola G9 Plus

Hey man I hope you're feeling better these days. Your ROM is pretty damn stable. I've only been on it for 4 days, but I like it. Although, the kernel definitely needs some attention. In my opinion the scheduler boost at 40 is killing the SOT. I have tried to modify it the way it is and it...

Post [ROM][11.0][Unofficial] DotOS 5.2 for Motorola G9 Plus

That's awesome! It sounds good to me. Will it work on stock A11 too? Also ... Are you planning on putting up a link for "coffee" donations? Or is there one already posted somewhere? Thanks for putting in the heavy lifting. I will be flashing your DotOs in the next few days, and am looking...

Post [ROM][11.0][Unofficial] DotOS 5.2 for Motorola G9 Plus

You're working on an A11 custom kernel? Or a kernel that will work with A12 ROMs? Either way, that's rad AF! I have been asking, begging, even offering my body(jk) or to pay some dev friends to build a custom kernel for Odessa. So far no luck tho. I did of course try my own hand at it, with...

Which variant do you have? ....XT2052-? New touch chip I assume? If so, that might be the issue.

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

I am pretty certain that there is an official CrDroid ROM for it. I have a OnePlus 7 pro. I usually run either CrDroid or Yaap. So, I would imagine that they would be pretty good an Op6 too.

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

Can I ask why you are running OOS when there are many Official custom ROMs available for the device? Just curious, I suppose. Also, running a custom ROM would solve your read-only access issue. In my mind it makes sense to do. As I said "just curious". Edit: Have you tried simply using an app...

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

Obviously, you didn't understand what I was saying..... I got the script to run successfully. From beginning to end, with ZERO ERRORS. I don't see how you thought I was asking for help. But thanks for your response.

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

Did the script run, and flash the super_fixed.bin file all correctly/successfully? If yes, then you don't need to run that from recovery. Termux or most other full featured terminal emulators work fine for this.

My apologies. I did not realize that you hadn't unlocked your BL yet. As Pachacouti said, it is up to you to find out how to unlock the BL on your specific device. If the BL isn't locked by the OEM then you are able to figure it out.

It is definitely a journey. Well worth the work, and time invested in then end. Also, it helps many people understand their devices just that much more. I am glad that you were successful. Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

I wonder if the OP's script does not work on A10, as you say. How is it that it works flawlessly for myself and many others on A10 and A11 on a plethora of devices? I think the problem in this case may reside within the wet-ware. Just my opinion. Don't bother replying, as the question posed...

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

I can help you with this one. I got the flashable zip to finally work from beginning to end with no errors on Odessa. The key for me was to edit the config file to 65mb instead of the default 15(75 is too much and 50 isn't enough). Make sure you save it. Then flash it from TWRP. Let me know if...

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

Yes, you can just write the command to out=(path_to_external). You can execute the script from Franco Kernel Manager. Just be sure make the script executable, and set permissions for the script to 0755 and SELinux to permissive(not sure it's required but it won't hurt). So from terminal/shell...

Post [SCRIPT][Android 10+] Universal Mount SystemRW / SuperRW featuring MakeRW (read/write)

I did indeed get it working. I just installed Linux Mint on my old laptop. My issue wasn't so much that I don't know how to use Linux. I was having a hard time navigating the windows file system using the Linux UI. Once I had a full Linux environment as opposed to a VM it wasn't a problem.

Post G9+ & Adaway: Ads show up

I'm glad you got it figured out. The data issue, along with many other bugs will be rectified any day now with the new release. The issue you are having with LOS 18.1 is because at the time of development the kernel for A11 hadn't been released by Moto yet. However, they did finally release it a...

Post G9+ & Adaway: Ads show up

The issue you are having is related to stock Android 10. It does not allow you to make any changes to the system partition, as it won't allow you to mount it as r/w. There is a workaround for it (currently in development stages). It's a flash able zip script that dumps the super partition...

Well, I had no clue that Moto released another variation of the xt2052-1 with a different touch chip. That is good to know. I should have asked which your's was to begin with. There's an unofficial lineageOS 18.1 for it. You have to use the lineageOS custom recovery to flash it though. It's pretty decent. Erfan put it together. So you know it's been built properly, but Moto has been slowtorola tha A11 kernel source. It should happen any day now though. Here's the link...

That was a great write-up. I am going to have to read it when I am fully awake. It's 5:30 am here. As long as you haven't seen the error: CID 0xDEAD then it should still be intact. CID is different from the IMEI it combines a few variables and cannot be easily duplicated. Sorry for the bad...

Sorry.... After a little thought on my part, I realized that what I said about dynamic A/B devices not having a bootloader_b partition was incorrect. I'm always happy to help where, and when I am able. It does sound like you may have a corrupted device. Have you ever tried to flash the bootloader_b? If so, that is more than likely the issue. The device has no bootloader_b partition, and attempts to flash to it can cause some strange issues...

Post Development [RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] OrangeFox Recovery Project [R11.0]

I have found that OfoX is the only one that the installer zip works better than flashing img's. It sounds like you might have an issue with your device's micro USB port.
  43. K

Post Development [RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] OrangeFox Recovery Project [R11.0]

I have tried all of these. The only one that I had any issues with was TWRP 3.4.0.0 and they were minor bugs. OfoX works great, and is my favourite to use as it is 64 bit. The issues you are experiencing more than likely are caused by either your device, or installation process.
