    correct place the package on /root/ as i have done the local upgrade a few times.. time will tell if im ready to go OOS 11 yet OOS 10 has been stable and working beautifully.

    Thanks. i rarely use TWRP as i'm on OOS 10 stable the last v12 i believe right now. A little skeptical about jumping to OOS 11 at this moment in time seeing all the posts about issues. so just to make sure i understood, the method i described works in terms of retaining root. where is a good...

    Can you confirm the following approach still works? and won't result in data wipe? 1. download full OTA 2. upgrade via local upgrade 3. no reboot, install TWRP A/B rentention script 4. no reboot still, install magisk root 5. reboot.

    does previous method works to retain root/magisk by upgrading locally and flashing TWRP retention script and magisk root?

    this probably isnt the right post but im really hesitate to upgrade to android 11 due to posts and issues posted.. used to be able to upgrade without losing root via retentation a/b and magisk upgrade. does the method still works if i were to upgrade locally via OTA package over to Android 11 ?
