    Post Galaxy S4 variant confusion

Samsung still has not provided an OEM bootloader unlock? I havent dealt with a non unlocked phone for years, so im actually asking. Is there no bootloader hacks, even a third party exploit that allows the bootloader to be reflashed? As for the other models, if they all run a unified lineage...

    Post Galaxy S4 variant confusion

I do not have access to the devices, I just have a client who asked me some questions about the devices, and I admit that these Samsung devices confuse the hell out of me. This wasnt a "Damnit, gimme lineage now!" post, but more just me trying to get a handle on all the different models and...

    Thread Galaxy S4 variant confusion

Hello! I have a project that I am working on that involves a handful of Galaxy S4 devices. They were all purchased on ebay, so they are all different models with different versions of android. The goal is to get them running as close to the same software as possible. The models that i have - as...

    Thread RK3288 Device Tree?

Im looking to do some playing around with a custom rk3288 based board. I see a few repos for the 31 series, but nothing for the 32. Ive started creating one for the 32 based on the 31 repo that I found for cm, but I dont really want to reinvent the wheel if not necessary. Are there any open...

Post {HELP} Building custom 5.1.1 kernel for flo

I did in fact resolve it. I dont actually know what that issue was, but it went away to be replaced with a real error I was then pointed to a few commits by a friend of mine and they resolved the issue...

Thread {HELP} Building custom 5.1.1 kernel for flo

Hello everyone. I am spinning up on a project that requires a custom rom for the flo based on 5.1.1_r28, and a custom kernel as well. The rom is built and working, but currently uses the prebuilt flo kernel. When I boot the prebuilt kernel, I can check the kernel version, 7597781. Linux...

    Post [APP]NFCSecure v1.3.5

Soooooooory that my FOUR (4) push notifications are too much for you. Theres a really nifty option to turn off app notifications, and theres an even easier way to uninstall the app, I even made it an option in the menu! Both solutions are better than complaining.

    Post NFC Implant GT-I9505

Damn. XDA cut a ton of my reply out. So, first off, ignore the "implications" guy. I cant tell you how many times ive heard its the mark of the beast, or that its a tracking device, or that its a dna harvester, etc etc. Cant beat crazy. Anyways, I am an app developer, look up my name on the...

Post Motorola Skip on Other Devices

If its just a standard tag - doubtful, but who knows with googorolla these days - I have an app called nfcsecure that does a similar thing. Due to limitations of the framework, I can't actually turn the screen on, but its an NFC lockscreen.

    Post NFC Implant GT-I9505

I've got an implant from dangerousthings. The guy who runs it is very intelligent, very well connected to all the right people, tech, body mod, health, etc. I've had it in for probably about a month, I got it a day before we started our trip to burning man, and even out there with so little...

Post Can NFC tag unlock or lock Android?

I've had an app out for about a year now called nfcsecure. The nfcring kickstarter purchased a white labeled version of my app to be bundled with the purchase of their nfcring. I think its a pretty good app. :) Don't try the trial, it sucks, need to remove it from the market. ---------- Post...

new update is compiling now. Finally got around to adding a pin unlock, it was one of the most requested features. Slight refractoring of the settings page, should be a bit cleaner now. Fixed the setting of the delay type. Fixed an issue that made the widget not correctly update every time.

    Post [APP]NFCSecure v1.3.5

All the issues are related to the fallback unlock option. im working on a catch-all solution that should ensure no more work arounds. Im almost there, but its been SUPER busy @ work and i havent had a chance to play with it again yet.

the only time i could think that it would pop up unnecessarily is when you get a call. That is actually a app wide bug that i have just finished fixing.
