I just received a replacement to my defective Motorola Defy, so I was wondering if I could use System Recovery to make a backup to transfer my apps, data, and settings from the old phone to the new one without any compatibility problems.

I'm using the stock alarm program and 3/5 times I've set an alarm nothing has happened when the alarm is supposed to go off. It always works when I set it to go off the next minute as a test case, but it's very unreliable for overnight use. Any similar experiences or thoughts on why this happens?
