FINALLY getting the red line for spelling errors....amazing!!! but- unfortunately doesn't help me out on my lollipop tab s.....how can that be!!!

OK , so I did another test today - used shealth on bike mode. Stuck arm out car window with GPS on. Kept arm still. It tracked distance completely accurately. This tells me that the s health must indeed use GPS accurately. I think the jog portion only measures speeds in running or walking rates...

Sorry for my blast posts. It is possible that it only records speeds in running range? I shook hands and didn't increase speed. Also noticed a bike option. Perhaps wrong about duped. Lol

Guys, Lot of talk regarding battery life/ standalone/ accuracy of gear S apps for running. Used both Nike and S Health- to me both were standalone. Few bullets 1) some stated that even with GPS on and locked that s health still uses pedometer for distance? (is this true?) 2) I'm still...

Ironically I see no difference in battery life.... Hahaha. But driving me nuts. I get through entire day... About 3.5 screen hours on. At 7pm I'm at 20% typically. Maybe that's bad?

Update #2- after 36 hours. It's back! Awake constantly. Unreal

Update. Since unchecking that wifi option, phone sleeping normally still.

Hmm. Try this. Unchecked under advanced wifi, the option to let Google and apps use wifi, even when wifi off. Since then, 12 hours, I have had normal sleep. Did reboot after Unchecked. . Premature to say I fixed it, but so far so good.

Can't root Verizon unfortunately

I have the same issue. Tried greenifying everything. No dice. I reboot, phone fine, then stays away. I will say that my battery life is good though, but this riddle is driving me nuts

Yes. Install SwiftKey. Activate it. Then (here's the revelation part)....swipe down and turn off the on screen keyboard. Will reveal the predictions

I want to thank all of you here! The tablet is now "perfect" . SwiftKey running on tab with Bt keyboard is perfect. Nice to have a line of predictions at the bottom with no virtual keyboard in the way! Thanks again!

wosiek, I am hopeful your response is an answer...but I dont understand. If i put on swiftkey (which I use when not using bt keyboard) it auto corrects. When I use my bt keybaord, the on screen keyboard (swiftkey) is disabled....not sure how it helps

What email app has spellcheck? The keyboard idea won't help as I am using a Bt keyboard. I realize touch keyboard has autocorrect.

I cannot stand the lack of spellcheck using bt keyboard in mail app. many of us use this thing for business. I am constantly typing up emails in hancom word, spellchecking then cut/paste into gmail....so brutal.

Not sure if it's a new option or I missed it, but s health run on menu has an option to turn off hr monitor! When it's warmer out I'll test it for battery savings. Like Nike app but can't turn off hr (big issue if my experiment above shows battery savings) and the colors are harder to read...

Huh? Didn't mean to be an ahole but is downloading movies from certain sites the only way? Is there a plan to have some kind of store. Not judging anyone here just hoping there is a way I can purchase easily lime playstore. I'm paranoid about putting myself at risk for a 7$ movie. Lol

Love gear vr but I was hoping to be able to at least download and watch movies that are semi current. At least I thought I could watch Google play movies in vr. After watching the demos, there's not much else to do (not into games. Just movies which is why I purchased)

I think the biggest issue with the gear s is poor instructions. Many are simply using the device incorrectly. When watch is connected to the phone via bt, WiFi (or remote?) - the watch IS your phone. Won't work jogging like this. You must setup apps while phone is attached first....(one time...

Anyone know how? The hr sensor is not useful to me- battery life far more important. This thing won't make it through a long race as s health and Nike both have continuous hr monitor

Update- waited 4 hours. Then worked again. So odd.

All of a sudden (on verizon note 4)-smart remote kept force closing. Wouldn't work. Went to applications and cleared everything and uninsulated update. Now when I go into app can't choose USA. I go to update it in app store and says 'not compatible'! Anyone else? I put watch on on note 4...
