The main appeal to me is the water resistance but not knowing if the battery will die fairly rapidly like the note 4 battery pretty much counters that with it being not removable. Ill probably wait and see if the next nexus iteration has water resistance.

I was able to contact their customer support and get a refund in the span of about 30 min, which is nice since it has been getting pretty noticable recently. It is to bad as i like the colored cases a lot. Maybe ill just use this one getting discolored for a few months then have a bright red one...

It depends on the browser you use but for me inside the browser open the menu then Settings>Advanced>Default storage change from device to memory card. I am however on a TW rom so there may be issues with the aosp roms and sd card compatibility since google did away with them in the nexus devices.
