Most of the apps you have installed I am guessing do not require root and not system level apps. The App works 100% on the 7.7 - It is used by hundreds of users on 7.7 alone. Not to mention other devices etc. It should not be happening - this is something that is particular about your setup...

No problem - i did not really test this. I will change or just include pinkowl modules in the kernel in the next version. Cwm runs its own kernel on a separate partition.

This is samsung proprietary driver so no open source available.

Please read the install guide - to go back to original kernel. Just restore boot.img from advanced restore option in cwm. No need to wipe, simply done. The kernel is not overclocked by default you need to do this is in setcpu but performance may vary & is subjective so no worries fella :D

Ok you need to go to settings > applications > ezymount > clear data Then restart the app. It should be ok. I will update the app so should not get this issue again. (permissions issue after new rom flash) Cheers

Will do also trying to get Samsung to update the ics sources as they have released some minor bugs that seems common to all of their ics releases. So hopefully can add some extra kernel stuff rather tracking down these bugs :confused:

You should be ok with any cwm recovery. Stock Ics recovery is released by Samsung so can't be sure. But people have used it to wipe their data etc and no problems. I think locerra is the man to ask, he knows more about this dev stuff than me.

This only relates to possible brickbug issue, which seems to be introduced in the newer ICS kernels. Each CWM recovery is built against a kernel. So the older CWM recoveries are using honeycomb kernels. CWM versions 5.5.0.4 & 5.0.2.7 should be fine. Locerra has updated to newer vesions of...

Are you in download mode. I use linux for heimdall so if its a driver issue you will need to specific ones for your distro. Besides having a faulty emmc you should be able to get back to working state. you will need to repartition i suspect but try flashing first. Cm9 is pretty much vanilla...

It will not change the partition structure. Have you tried heimdall. I would suggest try using one of the first released honeycomb firmwares as it should be a wipe one i am guessing. Once back on hc then flash ics. Worth a try.

Thanks for your comments and I have added UMS / MTP switching for ext4 & NTFS partitions too. Version 2.3 - should be updating soon. It should work for fat32 external sdcards too. (UMS mode - no need to mount first) Cheers

I am have not included this as a feature as other apps should be able to do this. You do not have busybox installed - it should work afterwards. You might need to clear settings or uninstall then reinstall app. I will be adding mtp / ums switching for s3 & make more options available...

Hi, UMS mode is not available on our tabs by default. So only mtp for now. Having said that i am currently testing a new ums feature. I can copy files to my pc. I have tried it on linux so far it is working ok, it shows up as a folder. Not sure about windows but should work like ums does...

ExFat is not supported natively by the TAB - hopefully once Samsung release the kernel source code for ICS. Will be looking to port the driver to our tabs. (So will add this as a mounting option then I suppose) Regards.

Hi Alex, Ums is being replaced by MTP for file transfers so it is not supported on our tabs. It works on other devices that do not have mtp. If Samsung can get us ics anytime soon -then will be probably worth adding ums support to a custom kernel / rom. MTP has its benefits but it not that...
