The ROM does not support device encryption...green Android guy screen will show up forever (6+ h) and no progress indicator shows up...

So maybe a dev can look into this, but looks like the root cause for the ENCRYPTION NOT WORKING is how slim partitions the disc...looked into catlog

that fixed my screen tearing/jaggering...thanks so unable to use ENCRYPTION (neither device policy app nor settings > security work) is the remaining issue with this rom...everything else is great ;)

So encryption does not seem to work with slim rom...does not matter whether your initiate it through "device policy" or "settings > security"...you enter the pin, green robot appears but no progress bar and even 4h later nothing happened...

Rom & and AIO 4.3 build 1 works great so far...2 issues that I experience though: screen refresh when scrolling seems slightly jagged in some cases (e.g. Firefox) can't use "Google Device Policy" not able to encrypt the device The later one is a bummer, because you can't enable Google Now or...

Are you sure that the DLXP8 builds fix the isse? I flashed the Singapure one from samsungfirmwares using Mobile Odin over Q2 Austria ICS and still see issues...especially compared to my Motorola Droid... Can you provide a link to the exact file of the firmware he thinks got once and for all...

+1 Having the same issue since ICS...stock rom (tried both QL1 and QL2) Wiping and flashing custom kernels (like dedrak) don't help. Using copy and paste in the people app makes the app crash (consistently), same happens occasionally with chrome & stock browser...

thanks, but I was not able to successfully use the apk...got force closed error everytime I tried to launch Swype... Rooted my tab anyways and now going to install the Austrian firmware...that's the ...AUT.exe right? At least AUT is the country code for Austria ;-)

How did you manage to do that? Evertime I try to install the "Superuser.apk" taken from the original zip via Astro, I get the app manager menu to just offer me "uninstall" which then just doesnt work...?!

I am using Amon Ra's recovery and recently wondered wether you can somehow install/push an .apk from the sdcard...like you can do via the terminal emulator using su rwsystem + cp ... ?? thanks.

Since my superuser app is broken in this rom I noticed a much better battery life (maybe setcpu doesnt work?)...getting approx. 18 h with 1h talk, some texting, some emailing and 2h browsing the web...really like the rom, still need more speed (ram hack? compcach?)...keep up the good work :)

Hi everyone, I just started to use ActiveSync with a Rogers Rom (TheOfficial 1.8.4) on a rooted T-Mobile G1 (EU)...everything works nicely. Contacts, calendar and emails get pushed & synced...BUT I am somehow not able to send emails with my Exchange account (receiving works perfectly)...? Does...

one thing i never really got working with this rom was SENDING an email over the built in exchange client...reading (even push) was no problem, but sending...nope...

The device is visible for other wifi enabled devices, eg router or pc...that shouldnt be the case if wifi is turned OFF... ...also experiencing Handcent issues :(

I just upgraded to 4.2.9.1 and something i noticed is that my g1 is always visible on wifi...regardless wether I deactivated wifi (from setting or widget) or not...thats not the expected behaviour, right?!

@ enom what about providing a "man expsetup" in future releases? ...your rom provides a lot of built in options and comfort with expsetup, but no documentation...this would also reduce repeating posts about option xy here in this thread ;-) ...any plans to include the 3g speed hack in the next...

@enom I also got a random ringing a few minutes after I ended a phone call that I received...lol ...and for all european non-english users: there is no t9 for dutch, french, german or whatever (just for english)

just gave this rom a try (both aosp & t-mobile eu) and experienced the following issues: - I had to reformat the sd-card in order to install 2.3.1.1 coming from cm 2.5 I only got a black screen after applying the updates. the base update was working, but as soon as I applied the extras I got...

regarding speed in 1.9.1 => no compcach, no linux swap and swapness to 45 is the fastest configuration i was able to find right now...

the current version was somehow more sluggish than 1.8.4 ... at least until i used expsetup to disable compache ... now it is fast again (did a re format of sd card and wipe prior to installation) :)

Hey enomther, congrats thats is definitly the best android rom i have used so far...and i tried a lot lol do you plan to add some 1.6 goodies to it...like the new search and market?? ;-) keep up the good work & dont forget about us rogers fans

this rom does not work for me at all...stuck at boot loop after entering the pin to unlock the sim card...repaired ext filesystem, wiped, flashed several times no success...better luck next time

@ soulife v3 is the best version of your rogers roms so far. i am using your rogers roms for months now and they are the best for serious everyday use...and i tried a lot, keep the rom alive ;-)
