If you're talking about the tiny (almost unseeable cracks without going right up to them), when the mini was made it it had that but it's not a big issue since they are only tiny cracks at the side and barely if at all viewable by anyone that isn't actually trying to find them on purpose...

I did it all but when I did "./revone -P" i keep getting "Gaining root access (thanks to Dan's motochopper)...Segmentation fault (core dumped)" and not sure whether to continue to the next step or what to do from here?

I followed bits from both, some parts are the same and rooted it fine without any issues.

Problem solved it by installing a certain version of SuperSU via the TWRP method.
