    My prayer to the Gods was answered I got notified of the OTA being downloaded on my Nexus 7 2013. I Ran Flashfire with all defaults and now have MMB29Q on the tablet with root. I'll try it on the new version of the tablet tonight.

    Strange as it seems, my newer Nexus 7 (2013) - single volume button would not root with NRT. Had to install the Multirom version TWRP. That did work.

    New version is out. Soup to Nuts totally automatic root with regular TWRP. Works great, up and running in less than half hour.

    If there is a write problem go to the root level of the External SD and enable write premissions. Can be done with most file managers. Root not necessary. This is apparently a default thing. If it were windows we would blame Bill Gates.

    WIFI Beef & Keyboard Doesn't matter if bluetooth is on or off. I have to manually connect to WIFI at each time I change location. It remembers the name but will not connect until I go to WIFI settings. Keyboard in Landscape has dead spots. Hackers works fine.

    I botched the OTA Unrooted and flashed back to stock recovery and somehow messed it up with the OTA I received.. After update still on 4.4.4. I have now flashed 5.0.1 factory image and working through restoring all. I'll re-root with WugFresh and flash TWRP and be back to abnormal as usual.

    Frozen Apps did not prevent OTA I have TB and many frozen apps. OTA came through just fine. Lost TWRP and Root and fastbooted TWRP and installed Super Su binary. So far I am impressed with KitKat. Getting used to the new Email with exchange, but, push now works.

    OTA Removed TWRP I'm just rooted with TWRP. I have taken all the OTA's and each time they have blown away TWRP and I have to Fastboot it back then load Super SU. Just Saying. Don't know why TWRP won't hold. It is a pain having to go to Fastboot when TWRP could flash Super Su.

    I'm running CM7 - 7.2.0-RC1-acclaim-UNOFFICIAL internally. Build Date April 24. This ROM deep sleeps, wakes when requested, wifi restores on wake and battery drain is not a problem. I ran for a long time on SD before going internal. This ROM works really well for all the times I need. Bill

    The very first thing it does after booting is connect to the wifi so it can get itself registered. I haven't heard of a wifi problem with connecting. Have you tried rebooting your router? Some places I go I have to ask for a router reboot then all is fine. Bill
