My prayer to the Gods was answered I got notified of the OTA being downloaded on my Nexus 7 2013. I Ran Flashfire with all defaults and now have MMB29Q on the tablet with root. I'll try it on the new version of the tablet tonight.

Strange as it seems, my newer Nexus 7 (2013) - single volume button would not root with NRT. Had to install the Multirom version TWRP. That did work.

New version is out. Soup to Nuts totally automatic root with regular TWRP. Works great, up and running in less than half hour.

Don't forget to change USB mode on tablet to file transfer. It defaults to charging only

Is this with or without the OTA fix. On lollipop I had large problems with wifi connecting. With MM it is working great. I don't want to take the OTA fix if it will be screwed up again. Thanks,

Got the OTA yesterday & I haven't been able to make MTP default for USB. Probably go to stock, unroot and take OTA over the weekend.

On mine I swipe down to get the menu to change to MTP

Flashed Factory Image I used Wug's Toolkit to flash the Factory Image and re-root. Did not wipe data and all is working. I haven't noticed any differences.

If there is a write problem go to the root level of the External SD and enable write premissions. Can be done with most file managers. Root not necessary. This is apparently a default thing. If it were windows we would blame Bill Gates.

Since Lollipop my wifi will not reconnect when I go to a previous location. I am now Stock, Rooted and Unlocked on 5.1. I have tried forgetting and re-establishing and that does not hold. Has anyone else experienced this and did they find a fix? Thanks,

WIFI Beef & Keyboard Doesn't matter if bluetooth is on or off. I have to manually connect to WIFI at each time I change location. It remembers the name but will not connect until I go to WIFI settings. Keyboard in Landscape has dead spots. Hackers works fine.

I botched the OTA Unrooted and flashed back to stock recovery and somehow messed it up with the OTA I received.. After update still on 4.4.4. I have now flashed 5.0.1 factory image and working through restoring all. I'll re-root with WugFresh and flash TWRP and be back to abnormal as usual.

4.4.4 OTA came through. Kept root with Super SU with option to preserve root. Took less than 5 minutes. I'm stock rooted unlocked.

Frozen Apps did not prevent OTA I have TB and many frozen apps. OTA came through just fine. Lost TWRP and Root and fastbooted TWRP and installed Super Su binary. So far I am impressed with KitKat. Getting used to the new Email with exchange, but, push now works.

OTA Removed TWRP I'm just rooted with TWRP. I have taken all the OTA's and each time they have blown away TWRP and I have to Fastboot it back then load Super SU. Just Saying. Don't know why TWRP won't hold. It is a pain having to go to Fastboot when TWRP could flash Super Su.

I had the same problem. I ended up in the play store and downloaded Superuser. That did work, however I now have two - SuperSU and Superuser. I don't know which Titanium is using, but everything is working. Bill

If you still have play store add another launcher. You could also go to apps in setting, if that is on one of your home screens and force close the launcher. I should restart with the app drawer icon. Bill

Search the store. There are a few apps that increase the sound level. Not really worth it as the speakers are pretty bad, but you can get it almost twice as loud. I used volume+ free for a while. Search volume in the store and try some of them. Bill

I'm running CM7 - 7.2.0-RC1-acclaim-UNOFFICIAL internally. Build Date April 24. This ROM deep sleeps, wakes when requested, wifi restores on wake and battery drain is not a problem. I ran for a long time on SD before going internal. This ROM works really well for all the times I need. Bill

If you take it to B&N and let them repartition it will go to stock 1.4.3. You have to reenter everything. Should fix your problem. You can still use CM 7 from SD. Bill

The very first thing it does after booting is connect to the wifi so it can get itself registered. I haven't heard of a wifi problem with connecting. Have you tried rebooting your router? Some places I go I have to ask for a router reboot then all is fine. Bill

I found that the once flashed when you reboot the screen stays off a long time. A really long time then it boots up. Are you sure it was turned off? Bill
