How about the camera though. i know that the pixel has an amazing camera. but is the u11+ almost as good as the pixel? or is there a major difference in the quality of the cam?

yes. for me too, i usually don't maxed out on super bright screen displays. i usually just set it to 30-50% unless i use it in direct sunlight as it usually strains my eyes when the screen is always too bright.
