I set up a firestick last night and had similar issues. Worked perfectly in my house but not in father in laws. Turned out it was the settings in the BT router. Had to port forward the device to allow it to connect.

There is no Ethernet option for the fire TV stick its wireless only. As porkenhimer has suggested try changing channel on your router. Is it connecting then losing connection again or no connection at all?

Install ES file explorer on fire tv via adb. Link it to your dropbox or Google drive account. Copy photos to your cloud account using your PC. Access from fire TV using ES file explorer and download to folder of your choice.

Yes, It's perfectly playable using Mupen 64 AE as are some other N64 games. Zelda Ocarina of Time, Doom 64, Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 and a lot more. I've been working my way through them and keeping the ones that work for me.

PM'd the "fabled" link. Not entirely sure if links can be posted in forum so I never have. It's not that it's any big secret. I found it via google. IMO there are better live TV options within some Kodi/Xmbc addons.

Has anyone from the UK received this update yet? I've been checking each day but nothing so far. Edit: Update received 31/03/15 and working well. Can now store game roms externally so very happy.

Are you trying to install Kodi addons from your PC to AFTV? Would it not be easier just to install them again from the repos from within Kodi (on AFTV)? Or install ES file explorer on your AFTV then link it to a dropbox account and copy the files to dropbox using your PC then access on your AFTV.

Have you tried using SPMC? Every version of Xbmc gave me stuttering on my generic RK3188 tv box except this one. No stuttering at all. I have this installed on all my devices including my AFTV. Might be worth a shot.

You could use the PVR simple client live TV plugin for XBMC/Kodi. It provides access to over 1000 live streams including many sports channels including SS. I have it installed on my Fire TV and it works well.

I don't think that would be possible. Think the psx rom images would be way too big to do this over a home network. Hopefully I'm wrong as I keep all my different game roms on a drive together and would love to be able to access and play from this via a network share.

Try using SNES 9 EX. It definitely allows key mapping to individual controllers.

I am able to play Super Mario Kart 64 (2 player) using an ouya controller and a wired Xbox 360 controller. You can go in and map the keys for the second controller. I'm not sure which emulator you're using but most enable key mapping for multiplayer.

No, no root required. Just sideload the epsxe apk (or Fpse apk). You'll also need a PS1 bios and game rom files for whichever game you want to play. And a controller.

Don't know if it's any help to you but you can get the Youtube app as an addon if you sideload xbmc.

You don't need to use adb. Just go into settings/applications/manage installed applications and uninstall from there.

I got my Fire TV yesterday and was able to install Firefox and flash player (via adb install) and it mostly works OK.

Just ordered one on Friday glad I stumbled onto this post may have saved me a lot of frustration setting my xbmc up.
