Disabling security updates has done the trick for me. I had the same softbrick issue after my first week rooted. I disabled security updates the second time around, and I've been running fine for the past 3 weeks or so.

Is there a way to make it automatically switch down to 3G when on a call, instead of losing the data connection completely? I was really surprised when I discovered this issue present on the Note 4 which did not exist on the Note 3.

It needs to be unlocked in order to recognize SIM cards from other international carriers. Without unlocking, you are stuck with Sprint's international roaming coverage which costs $$$.

Are you switching to Sprint to get this price? I see $249 for new customers and $299 for existing customer upgrades.
