I'm having the same issue. Can't seem to get MMS over 3G Although, I'm not getting LTE at all. I'm sure its my fault, since my phone is really an SM-N900P, but I mod'd it to make it work on T-Mobile's GSM network. I'm trying to get high speed data working again.

Yeah, I hear you that might be it. When I accessed the menus before, I think I was on a stock+rooted rom. Thought it was interfacing with the modem though, and so not ROM specific.

There are codes you have to type into the dialer pad. I think it differs based on the manufacturer of the phone. But that code is what I am trying to figure out. The code I had is not bringing up the menu anymore.

Yes, I believe so. At least for the settings. My phone is originally from Sprint, but I have been using it on T-Mobile for approximately a year now, thru their GSM network. I had to get into that menu originally, to change it over from the other carrier.

I guess it can be called different things. It's the service mode, on the phone, for manipulating settings like preferred mobile data network type (i.e. GSM only, LTE/GSM). Usually you enter a code from the dialer and it brings up that type of menu.
