OP, I'd like to try your Oreo kernel THEBOSS-Zeus but it will take time for me to prepare eg. backing up kernel , check TWRP and flash it etc... before that, could you tell where the Oreo kernel will have positive/negative/unchanged impact on camera quality?

is the note 9 Pie's camera quality improved? Still staying on Oreo for months as I have not ever heard of praises for improved cameras and still some users need to install GCam but seems note 9 Pie does not support GCam ?

Thanks you are correct, Google Play Service plus Google Contact Sync together permit the contact sync when their network permission are enabled in AFWall.

Searching in AFWall using "google" and found that "Google Contact Synchronization" (among 8 items displayed), i enabled it and retried sync, but the sync time is still sth 2018 which is obviously not sync correctly. Maybe other items also need to permit?

Could anyone share what to allow to let Contact Sync works on Oreo ? I searched sync contact on this thread but found no answer, maybe more keywords needed?

Thanks Dr.ketan, got a rooted Note1 at GB LA4 with CWM, and then reset the status and counter using triangle away. Maybe a bit out of the scope of his thread, but whether wiping in GB kernel's CWM safe? Or should I use (mobile/pc) odin to flash JB ROM in order to do safe wiping in recovery?
