Post Successful Sprint Z2 SIM Unlock!

I've got my Sprint Z2F completely flashed to Verizon. Everything is working, far as I can tell. All the LTE bands, CarrierAgg, and VoLTE. I do not use WiFi calling, but the option is there in the setting menu. It probably works fine. One quick note - I am currently running on one of the oldest...

Seems you have an outdated version of ADB. I am guessing you used that 15min ADB installer. ADB works in Command Prompt, but it can be wonky at time. The source of your issue is likely between Windows and that older ADB ver.

That triangle on the signal bars typically stands for "roaming". So the OS still seems to be hard set to Sprint, and rebooting the phone lets Android check the preset and resets the radio to all of Sprint's defaults. There is a sqlite database where there are some settings for all of the...

Check to see if Band 13 is working. You can download an app named "LTE Discovery" by dev Simply Advanced in the Play Store. Move to different locations and see if you get Band 13 on the phone. I am working on doing all the steps myself right now. Will report back shortly...

Post Successful Sprint Z2 SIM Unlock!

I don't think flashing the T-mo firmware will make WiFi calling work. To be honest, I really do not know what the issue is. I think it has something to do with not being able to get a complete image of the T-mo modem partitions, as to get a copy of those, you would need to unlock your device...

Post Successful Sprint Z2 SIM Unlock!

Who did you get to do it? Also, to answer your previous question, I do not believe there is a way to get T-mo WiFi calling working on this device (or any device) that did not come straight from T-mo with their firmware.

No no, I think you are spot on with that. That is pretty much what I think he is doing as well. My question: is the NV item still the same after all these years? On the old Moto X, it was NV # 8378. Just like dialer codes, they tend to use the same ones for years. Could be the case for that NV...

Post Successful Sprint Z2 SIM Unlock!

I would hold off if I were you. In the past, doing this on other Moto devices causes you to lose the ability to sim unlock. Apparently, it clears a value that is needed for the sim unlock process to complete. Erasing modemst1 and 2 resets a bunch of NVRAM values back to factory defaults, which...

This almost feels like a troll post. However, you have been around here as long as I, so I do not see why you would intentionally mislead others, to the point of harming their device. In case any of you run across this issue again, here is the trick to get Verizon to replace the device... Verizon customer service reps CAN add extended insurance to your phone for one month. Actually, they will add it as a reoccurring monthly feature, then you can call in and take it off on...

Well, I try. That's about the most I can say. LoL I do not have time to pour over all the info that has piled in this forum over the last year, but I did a glance over. So you flashed 27a over the modified 11B I presume? Once you flash a modified image, the bootloader will flag and show...

Sorry I never responded to you before. Life took some harsh turns... Anyways, it sounds like there may be a bootloader ver. mismatch when you attempted to flash 27a. This is just my own assumption, as I do not really know. I've been out of the game for quite a while now. What you need to try...

Yes, I know. Probably why Samsucks dropped the ball on all the Dev phones they sold. No support at all. That said, there were a few tars to flash on the Dev phones a few years back. FWIW, the OP's instructions worked for me on firmware OB6. Could have something to do with the fact that I had JasmineROM v5.0.2 installed, and the mods made to that ROM. What I do know is I am SUPER glad I did not go ahead and use one of my larger nice SD cards. Took time to clear off a 4gb...
