What works? Data? MMS? Video? Those posters are probably using the wrong version of TWRP.

Post Need help finding a 4.4 KitKat stock rom for my sm-g530t please!!

Lineage 15 isn't working yet. Use the July 2017 build of Lineage 14. There's a few bugs, but I use it just fine. Be sure you are using the correct version of TWRP. I think I had to downgrade TWRP to install Lineage 14.

    Post [ROM][N]ExOS V1 Port By FullOfHell & Mr.Duck254

Thanks for the quick response and your work on these roms. Really fantastic stuff. One more question if you don't mind. Do I need to flash magicdisk before I install this ROM? Some tutorials say I do. Magicdisk is new to me, I've been off the scene for a while.

    Post [ROM][N]ExOS V1 Port By FullOfHell & Mr.Duck254

This is a very nice ROM, but I'm having issues with the lockscreen, whether I set a pattern or a pin. I have to attempt an unlock several times before it'll unlock. Is there a way fix that?

Post Softbrick or No OS Bootloop

You could use the USB shorting trick coupled with the advice I already posted and you'd very likely fix your Kindle. The USB trick skips all the driver BS and listens directly to the USB before the OS or boot even has a chance to do anything. Keep in mind it can take many, many tries to...

    Post Kindle Fire Dead

Was the Kindle rooted? How long has it been sitting? Is the battery dead? The USB shorting trick only works for Kindles that actually boot up to some extent. It's hard to say what's going on with your kindle, but to find out or do anything you'll need a factory cable. You can find them on Ebay...

Post Softbrick or No OS Bootloop

The quick and painless fix here would be soupkit. If you follow the instructions it's quite simple. If you can't use soupkit for whatever reason look for a tutorial on adb with Mac. I don't own a Mac myself so I can't be much help in that department.

Post [Q] Keeps booting to recovery. I think I've tried everything - please advise.

656265 1105 After trying everything under the sun I used soupkit to revert back to stock and the Kindle instantly booted up with no problems. I had been trying different recoveries thinking that was possibly part of the problem, I discovered Cannibal Open Touch Recovery (COTR 2.0.2) will NOT...

Post [Q] Question about volume control and the Kindle app!

Volume control (Pro) I can't link it because I don't have 10 posts. If you see this in the URL you've got the right one. id=rubberbigpepper.VolumeControlPro It has many options for the way it's displayed. The picture doesn't do it justice. You can control the main volume of your device with...

Thread [Q] Keeps booting to recovery. I think I've tried everything - please advise.

Turned the Kindle on the other day and it wouldn't go past FFF, it was just cycling between boot options. The power button wouldn't turn it off, and Windows stopped recognizing the device. After researching I got Ubuntu and soupkit up and running. No matter what I do the kindle just boots to...
