I dont have that option. All that I have are: network notification (this one is ticked), ordering criteria, keep wifi on when in sleep, load certificates and wifi timer... I really dont think it has anything to do with my wifi settings. If this was the case, I wouldnt be able to connect at all...

ok i've managed to recover my phone through the help sections here...but, i was able to do that only when i flashed back to .45 FW, and after that i tried to flash .55 FW which i had downloaded from sony, which killed my phone again...so i'm guessing the official FW doesnt work on my rooted...

i did carry out all the instructions on getting ULBL and i didnt get any errors during the process, so i assume i do have ULBL now, and i got Flashtool but, i don't know the fastboot thingy, its another software other than Flashtool? EDIT: i guess i do have fastboot too cuz i remember...

the problem is that my phone is already rooted and has unlocked bootloader whereas that CVM you referred to me is for locked bootloader...any further hints?

finally managed to flash my xperia s...unistalling flashtool and drivers and updates worked...my new phone works like a charm now...thanks guys...
