I've got the same issue. If I reboot to recovery, I can see all backups just fine. But, using any file explorer while booted, up to and including Windows explorer via USB, only the backup made before switching to 5 is shown. Have you found a solution to this issue?

If I had to guess, I would say that the phone's memory is starting to go. When you "wipe data/Factory reset" does it show any errors in the recovery? Try going to recovery, and just wiping cache and dalvik, and then rebooting. Report back any errors you receive.

What applications did you install? When you say unlock button, do you mean the power button that turns on the screen? Or the slide to unlock on the screen when the screen is lit? Have you tried rebooting?
