Took my phone about 2-3 days after enrollment to receive the update. I'm not on a Verizon pixel though, so I don't know if it'll take longer.

    Post No AOSP yet?

Install greenify and look through the list of apps you can have it force close. I've attached some screen shots in case you don't want to install greenify, as well as a screen shot that shows in on AT&T

    Post No AOSP yet?

The Verizon apps are always there just deactivated. Verizon sim just lets the apps show up in your app drawer. Also the Verizon apps are always running in the background. Don't know why; I don't even have a Verizon sim in my phone but there they are.

Post ATT Straight Talk APN Not Working

More than likely it is an issue with straight talk. ATT (which I'm on) usually needs to add your phone to their system. I.e. Registering the imei on their network. I would definitely suggest talking to straight talks customer care and make sure you don't need something like a new sim card or to...

Why not just download another email app. Like Outlook, that one works well with all email accounts.

Then this is truly a mystery. Seems like people experience only two ends of the spectrum; amazing battery (what I consider amazing... Coming from an S6) or horrible battery. We're all running the same stock OS with more than likely similar apps (personally I don't use any social media apps. No...

    Post Battery life thread

I think the only thing left to do is wipe the phone start from scratch and don't restore anything. Use the phone as you would for about 4 hours and if battery is stable then the cause is an app that's waking up a system process. Then install one app at a time still testing until you isolate...

    Post Battery life thread

What's weird to me is how you've racked up over 2 hours of WiFi while me being on WiFi for 6 hours I've only gotten 13 minutes. Only thing I can think of is for one reason or another wifi is being used by a background process. Maybe Google photos is syncing causing the massive drain. Can you...

    Post Battery life thread

Something is definitely odd. It shows your WiFi running for 2 hours?! You positive wifi scanning for GPS is turned off? I've been home since 5pm. It is now 9pm; been connected to WiFi that whole time and I didn't accrue that much wifi time. Something odd I noticed with my phone since the...

I use Google now/assistant and do not have this issue. Have you tried clearing data and cache from play services. Also check your version. And try updating to the newest version. The new version gives you the check for update button when you go into your settings to check for new firmware updates.

    Post Battery life thread

Wanted to post an update. I gave some advice to a user to give greenify a try (without root). Below are my results of my first two days using it. Now I haven't had as much screen on time as I've posted in the past but this is me using my phone how I normally use it (real world use).

    Post Battery life thread

km8j are you on a none Verizon carrier? I decided to start using greenify (none root) and noticed that the hidden Verizon apps keep on running in the background. This was idiotic on Googles end for preinstalling these apps and making them system apps at that. Maybe give greenify a try. I...

I did some research and it would appear that enhanced LTE causes the same drain issue on the nexus devices.

    Post Battery life thread

Man I really wish I could help more with everyone and the bad battery issues. There doesn't seem to be a consistent reason for good or bad battery. Below you'll see a day where I got what I think is great battery performance. 5hrs SOT, 3.5hrs on the phone, 24hrs off the charger.

    Post Battery life thread

I'm on AT&T and I don't believe they supposed VOLTE on unlocked devices. When I go to cellular network settings I don't see anything for HD voice. Quick Google search did show that this caused battery drain on other nexus devices.

    Post Battery life thread

Definitely not normal. I highly suggest a hard reset from the recovery. How did you initially setup the phone? Did you select to transfer your data from another phone or did you do a clean setup?
  24. D

    Post Battery life thread

I'm honestly stumped. Mostly because you're not the only one with poor battery issues. Only thing I can think to do is a hard reset through recovery but going through the setup process is a pain, so I understand avoiding that.

These are my battery results from yesterday's use. For me it's amazing. I came from the galaxy s6 where I could barely make it through the day and had 2.5 hours of screen on to this phone where I get over a day of use with 4 hours of sot. Anyone feel free to ask for my settings or app usage.

Sorry about that. I'm so used to TWRP that I forgot stock recovery don't have the wipe cache feature. But selecting wipe data/factory reset will do the same only it'll factory reset your phone. But this is the same fix that used to be implemented on the Galaxy S6 when Android OS was high in...

Arter hasn't made his kernel for the T variant of our devices yet. You need to flash stock firmware and use stock kernel. What was originally being suggested to you was to go to arters site and download his version of twrp. The one that works on the T variant is the fi version. Sent from my...

This isn't a bug. It's intentional. This is to fix a Netflix problem. Without this build prop mod your Netflix won't load.
