You have to flip the cover all the way to the back (easily) before typing one handed. No portrait mode for the kickstand, unfortunately. Yes, that's the only drawback I can think of. Again, the flip cover easily turns all the way to the back.

Easily the best Note cover ever, I ordered it immediately and it arrived a few days back. It's everything I ever wanted in my Note 3 cover.
