Turns out It takes almost a week and a mixture of 3-4 guides here. Some Odin, some Casual, some TWRP flashing and luck. FInally I'm back to where I was before I hit the wrong button.

More info: I am on 4.04 so the bootloader should not be locked. The phone is beat up and the USB connector is wonky. Only a few cables will work and I have to make sure it doesn't move or it will disconnect. It does mention that the secureboot is enabled in download. I've had it rooted...

I just tried to uninstall My verizon and their messenger app with root uninstaller and it didn't work. I'm going to wipe and flash again to see if I missed something in the aroma installer. No dice, still there. If I change my CID to not be verizon would it not load the verizon B.S.?

Merry Christmas! Was fighting me yesterday but today I have root, s-off, TWRP installed and just flashed a new ROM. Thanks a ton for giving me my phone back. Was waiting till sunshine 3.0, nice to get a early xmas present.

I was having issues yesterday but today it worked. You must be s-off in order for the patch to work. Also TWRP might crash but it installs recovery. At least it did for me.

Looks like I finally have s-off and even though TWRP manager crashed I'm in and making a backup now. Finally I have my phone to myself and can get verizon's bloat off.

Pretty sure from what I have read if you are 4.4.4, you're boned as of now. Anything below then sunshine works but it costs money. There may be other options but I'm quite new at the HTC game.

Pretty sure that's a known google code bug. I've seen it on my s3 with slimkat, the woman's s3 with stock kitkat, her tab 3 10.1 and my nexus 7 on slim. Removing the sd and installing or disabling move app to sd fixes it.

It is providing you have a fast data connection at home. It takes hours for me to download all the apps. Clean flash and play store does not have the dark theme. :(

I get reboots often with waze while charging but it's random. Some days it doesn't and some days it will reboot 2-3 times in my hour commute. I took a 2 hour trip this weekend and on the way down it rebooted twice and 4x on the way back. Annoying but still quite usable.
