Cannot survive for long... Maybe at 2-3h screen on time maximum. Mind that I have a reconditioned one.

It's late 2020, and I bought a reconditioned Sony XZs as for my use in my primary SIM (for calls). I have good standby drain here. Probably better than my Mi A2 Lite (drops at 1-2%; sometimes 0% drop). My unit is a debloated open-lined SOV35, Oreo (with April 2019 patch).

Downgrade is recommended. But almost all base from 10.0.13.0 up to 11.0.5.0 will be fine. I'm using either 10.0.8.0 or 11.0.4.0 for flashing ROMs for now.

Try wipe data/cache from stock recovery. If no luck, then try the EDL short circuit test point method and reflash stock ROM again with MiFlash. If all fails, go to service center. Test point EDL needs very short wire (or tweezers), your regular USB cable and Qualcomm Drivers. Disconnect battery...

Stock Pie, Custom ROM Pie, Stock Android 10, MIUI (and possibly GSI) are not supported with this kernel. It may boot, yes, but has problems such as camera and WiFi not working.

Just flash stock back via fastboot and MiFlash and flash custom ROM again with their instructions followed. And BTW, use offain's TWRP for flashing custom ROMs (most).

Depends on the banking apps you use. Some do not have problems with rooted, custom ROM and/or failed SafetyNet; some will crash with either these three conditions.

I'm on 0.7 with this and I have this installed and used for almost two weeks now and seems stable for daily driving.

Mini OpenGApps should be fine, at most. As a custom ROM user, I don't use stock OpenGApps here (because it's 700+MB and full of Googles that I don't need).

In PHL SIM networks (I'm using Smart's budget SIM, TNT), it works fine, connects internet fine. APN selected automatically here.

That's unfortunate for many GCams and Android 10 for now. Most custom ROMs will suffer from this. You have to wait until 'processing' is finished (after capturing pictures for five to ten seconds, then you can shot again or exit GCam). Hypercam R6 or E3 doesn't freeze GCam for most situations...

Yeah. I use Hypercam E3, Hypercam 7.x and PixelCam 7.3 and all fine. No front HDR+ though.

No. It will only stuck on boot animation freeze. If it boot successfully, it won't connect to WiFi, camera won't open, codec problem, and other bugs outside the scope of ROM.

Is your SD card formatted to exFAT? This ROM does not support exFAT cards. And many camera apps dropped support of saving to SD card, because of Android slowly dropping support of it, more so in the incoming Android 11 with its 'scoped storage'.

Enable camera2api via temporary root and unlock bootloader. Otherwise, GCams won't work.

That one got deleted by Xiaomeme due to bugs that lead to destroy phone (temporarily). One of them did go directly to local technician because it can't turn on phone anymore due to that update.

Going from non-GApps to Gapps'ed ROMs need clean flash as they differ from GApps packages (some components of previous GApps will force close), some apps will force close due to different or lacking components, customization will also looked wrong due to...

Did you still see the screen "Your Bootloader Is Unlocked" thing whenevr you boot your phone? If it is, then good chance that your phone is still unlocked. Flash a custom ROM with permissiver zip file (found on Telegram groups) or a permissive custom ROM. However, your phone might be forever...

Both POSP and SuperiorOS. Both are good. For custom kernel, Loki, Nitrogen and Chunchunmaru kernels are better than stock.

It's the problem of stock ROM and kernel and (to me) nothing I can do with that SD card self eject problem. Custom ROMs and custom kernels did not exhibit that problem for months now in my Mi A2 Lite.

Now installed (dirty) on my uncle's J5 (j53gxx), which is my former daily driver before I've got myself a Mi A2 Lite, and everything's (most features my uncle needs) fine and running, and is stable since day 1. A big thanks again to jenslody for making J5 great again, since Oreo! :)

Probably the 'SanDisk' syndrome of MicroSD; it means it turned into read only, cannot delete, cannot format. Tried inserting it to computer and copy-pase to and fro? How old is your MicroSD card? Tried other MicroSD card if you have spare cards?

Nope. I'm using MiXplorer, Solid Explorer and the stock fike explorer and they all can install APKs. Edit: BTW, take note that ES File Explorer has been removed by Google due to advertising abuse, as well as all Cheetah Mobile apps. I strongly suggest to change to another file explorers...

I think only for Android One phones, as MIUI-based Xiaomi phones need official unlocker software made by Xiaomi to unlock them.

If backed up boot partition, boot TWRP using fastboot boot (offain's TWRP).img, and restore it. If not, boot TWRP using fastboot boot (offain's TWRP).img, and flash another kernel. These will fix Touchscreen problem caused by kernel.

Except for GCam and things that needs unlocked bootloader, the SD Card self ejects bugged my phone out, it was LOCKED bootloader, and destroyed whatever cards I've thrown in and usually LAGS out here often for no reason. It's that your phone got lucky there. Mine isn't and did not run...

My Mi A2 Lite's bugs were as follows before I moved on to custom ROM installation: 1. MicroSD self-ejects itself but it's not when loading POSP and SuperiorOS with any kernels used. I even used Transcend 300S MicroSD and it still have that bug in stock. Not to mention, this phone does not...

You can leave it as is, but don't ever boot into recovery if you value your data from Internal Storage or if haven't backed up data to MicroSD.
