Im a little confused about the part where you change your apn to use tethering, but do you always have to change it back to hsdpa to use the 4g or can i just leave it at tether free and still have the same internet speed?

im comin out from the htc inpire, and now has the atrix, and when i use widgets/adwlauncher/adwdock/ they dont seem to take up the whole space in the homescreen, when i use adw launcher the docks are not extended all the way. is there a workaround to this?
