Not sure where xyz on app is but not very accurate. If i have a north setting and the rotate the phone 180deg north can be as much as 45deg out to original north. Weird Just tried another compass and they both do the same.

Running OB5. Did as said what's in this thread whilst on OB4 Franc kernel. Dirty flashed OB5, stock kernel and great results.

Insane battery just keeps getting better n better on bet5. First hr with constant data using apps.

Or try from a backup. Have twrp on new phone and copy backup to yr twrp backup folder. Hit restore.

Try reflash twrp to yr phone.

Using third party notification tiles, comment 2 covers that. Just a matter of identifying which system app is responsible for quick tiles and someone who writes code tinkering with that app. Has anyone done it yet. I'd be surprised not as this little thing is kinda crazy....

Currently it takes a swipe and 4 taps to turn data on from the tile. A swipe down on notification, tap on data tile, tap data switch and two back buttons return you to yr app. Would be great if the tile was an on and off switch. Has anyone a way around this i wonder ?

Nice is this a consensus fix or just yr own method that's worked for u . Just that I've already flashed bet5 and luckily DM Verity wasn't tripped this time and also managed to keep twrp. I don't want to risk to flash again if possible. Thx Or would delete launcher data and install launcher app...

They maybe supposed to be there but I don't think they they should keep yr phone awake @ 50%. I am always checking wakelocks especially after trying new apps and stuff. Luckily I've never experienced these problems with google apps and services but now I am. Thx

Don't think it does once u hv followed the steps above. Not fully tested with me but if DM verity does persist it really is easy to remove. Advice is take the leap it's a great phone with the best support for any device i have ever owned.

But if yoou had relocked bootloader it would have wiped your phone completely hence you would then have to sideload a rom. Following this there is no way you can have a persistent dm message. :rolleyes:

Flash the 4.0.2 firmware in TWRP then do the fastboot commands and then flash the 4.03 firmware in TWRP. Problem solved. The firmware files are found here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=145813

If i flash another, or update my rom (currently running openbeta 4 on 3t), alls ok until i flash su. Then dm-verity on boot up reappears. I hate it....... To rid of it i have to revert stock recovery. Sideload Os 4.1.1 or openbeta. But soon as i re-root with su im back with dm-verity error on...

Same here, unknown command. Im OpenBeta4, bootloader unlocked. How could he possibly get the dm-verity with a locked bootloader. It is not possible to have twrp with a locked bootloader "no".

Why would you need to. Oneplus have update to 7.1.1 nougat which is the same as this rom. Sorry i cant understand this need to flash other firmware.

No i think you are in the recomended arena. If you had tried OB3 then flashed RR you would then fall into the lesser recommended area. As i have OB3 on my phone i would like to know if it is fine to flash RR without flashing other firmware business.

My understanding is OpenBeta3 is the release from oneplus. And 4.1.0 is the update rom on xda. meaning they are one and the same update.

As you are trying to restore a two day old backup id just clean wipe and flash another rom. At least you will have a working phone while you figure out whats gone wrong with your backups.
