Post Official 5.0 Firmwares For Galaxy Note 3 (Snapdragon) (SM-N9005)

Just updated to the official ITV Lollipop ROM (coming from rooted KitKat) using the Mobile Odin Pro method in first page and then flashing UGBOB6 bootloader through Odin PC. Thanks a lot for the useful guide! :good: Full wipes done, bootloader updated correctly, Knox is still 0x0, root access...

Post Official 5.0 Firmwares For Galaxy Note 3 (Snapdragon) (SM-N9005)

Hi to all! I'm waiting for ITV official ROM to jump in the Lollipop world but in the meantime I'd like to ask you a simple question because I'd really like to install the L update without loosing root access and without tripping KNOX counter ( I'm sure like many others :) ) Starting from KitKat...

I agree... something is weird on gpu and relative governors... I've done a bunch of 3dmark benches to tell which governor leads to performance and which is more power-saving oriented: result is my score fluctuate between 8200-8600 pts regardless if I use ondemand, performance or simple :-/ I...

Really AWESOME! F***ing great work Ken! :good: I was "a little disappointed" with my I9505, feeling stock CPU/GPU settings cannot really stand a FullHD Display Resolution while high demanding gaming (Modern Combat 4, Real Racing 3, N.O.V.A.3, Batman etc.) Latest I9505XXUBMGA rom + your...

Hi Velis, thanks for this great app! Now I can really enjoy custom brightness levels on my Galaxy Note N7000 on stock XXLRI Samsung Rom (I loved this feature on CyanogenMod) Just a little report/request: I've noticed that manual brightness control on MX Player Pro is not working when your auto...

Give me a 7" Note with edge-to-edge AMOLED (so smaller than current 7" tablets) + a newer and more powerful Mali/Adreno GPU and i'd kill for it :p

klogctl? Hi Gavin, this... " Re added all standard kernel debugging for full application support (logging is not used by the kernel but is available for apps, particurlarly debugfs)" ...should mean that an error like "klogctl: Function not implemented" must be not expected trying to activate...

    Post [KERNEL] [TW-AOKP-AOSP-CM9-CM10-PA-MIUI ] ~HydraCore v7~ Mali R3P0!

Thanks for the suggestion but I already tried it and IMHO Avast has a better UI, works better and I feel it needs fewer system resources (I might be wrong but this is my impression). Now let's keep this out of development discussion mate, at least until Gavin confirms (I hope) that re-enabling...

    Post Hydracore kernel discussion thread

Kernel logging... useful or not? As already discussed in the development thread seems that kernel logging is disabled for the sake of speed/responsiveness. Kernel logging is needed, as example, to run Avast Mobile Security Firewall (which is good to block ad banners in some free apps, to...

    Post [KERNEL] [TW-AOKP-AOSP-CM9-CM10-PA-MIUI ] ~HydraCore v7~ Mali R3P0!

You're right... an antivirus might be useless (if the device is clean of bloatware)... but Avast comes with a nice firewall too, and it can be useful! ;) The antivirus runs with no problems... it's the firewall that needs kernel logging (as far I've understood)

Take a look at post #7732 I'd like to know how much re-enabling this feature would affect overall kernel speed and if we can hope it may be done in the future... Gavin, please? ;)

Hi Gavin, thanks for your awesome work. Running v1.7oc on stock XXLRI I've found a little problem: not able to activate Avast Mobile Security firewall... maybe need to load some module? Can you please give it a shot? Thanks in advance and keep up the veeery good job!

I'm using the black one (and used it on my previously owned Galaxy SII i9100): it protects very well against scratches and my Note looks sexy as hell in all black fashion :good: (and yeah, chrome bezels have bored me too :D ) Go for it mate!

+1 I don't send many SMS usually, but one sent a few hours ago to my wife never reached her. Never had this "problem" before with CM9. Nightly build 20120722, XXLB1. Sorry Entropy512... surely I'm missing something :o My question was because I did a research in this thread about "GPU overclock" but it leads me on post #5359 where is stated that CM9 kernel doesn't support GPU oc (and other not relevant posts)... I searched for "GPU clock" and was glad to...

OMG! Thanks! Running this kernel for two days on latest CM9 nightlies... this was the kernel I was dreaming of :D - not a single problem - tons of tweakable parameters (oc/uv on CPU and GPU, color saturation, BNL, etc.) and only one "stylish and effective" app to tweak them all - performance...

LOLZ :p I'm not absolutely saying benchmarking must be "our God", that you can tell a performance improvement only by them, neither that a 50% better result can reflect a 50% better user experience. They can be howewer an indicator, so i disagree about the fact they're "completely useless"...

Yes, that's the way I do it. Tip1: use a 1080p video with software decoding on MX Player to test upper frequencies... nothing stresses more. Tip2: use Cool Tool overlay to check freq/temp under testing
