So you did not contact tmobile at all but the phone was able to unlock after flashing stock 20i? Im tempted to try flashing 20i to see if im lucky like you but i really need it unlocked as im not a tmobile user. Is there no way to flash back 20i_un coming from 20i ?

Did you insert a tmobile sim? Also do you know if we can flash back to the sellers bootleg 20i_un rom after flashing 20i? I want to see if mine will unlock too but i dont wan to risk being stuck without sim unlock

I contacted tmobile via facebook ans the person told me that the phone must be associated with a tmobile account. Im not a tmobile user :(

So how did the seller unlock the phone? Usually you would see something posted here or on gsmhosting if there was a sim unlock but theres nothing when searching

I think you can still get warranty you just need to flash the stock rom. You can use the imei number to check the production date. Lg gives 15 months warranty from the production date. I got warranty service a couple months back from a defective g5 i bought from ebay. I just used the imei number...

Ah that sucks. Buyspry is so shady for selling a bootleg unlocked g5. Main reason i got it was for root. Now its basically a brick to me. So that bootleg rom the seller used is the only sim unlock? No other custom roms have have sim unlock ?

Ive been using xposed on my rooted g2 for the past two years and my phone finally died. Can anyone recomend a recent flagship where xposed works without issue. I was thinking the s7 edge but i read somehwhere that samsung phones have issues with xposed?

[/COLOR] Are you sure Secure start-up is off? Settings>general>fingerprints and security. Make sure Secure Start-up is toggled to off

Have you tried doing a factory reset then following the unlock steps again ?

I think i saw that listing. The seller did not mention demo unit i believe. He just said that there was damage to the back casing. Coincidentally the damage was right on top of where demo unit is supposed to be written lol

were you on zv6 when you got your phone unlocked? i was originally on zv5. i got it unlocked online but could not change pan settings. i then upgraded to zv6 but still i cannot change apn. maybe we need to upgrade to zv6 first before unlocking?
