i turned off location and NFC and the battery has been AMAZINGLY good today! Much better on the standby drain, and it still at 60% after 12 hours of use today.

hey guys i just got a note 5, installed all the normal apps, and the battery life is only marginally better than my old galaxy s6.. kinda dissapointed any tips for me? i have attached my stats.

Yep, the phone made a short buzz when i held the power and volume up button, but did nothing else. then i connected it to my computer via USB and it buzzed again but for longer. nothing happened on my PC. Then it buzzed again and turned on by itself, back into demo mode.

Hi thanks for the tip. I followed the instructions as per the program, and it works for the most part. when the phone reboots from the flashing of the new firmware, everything is fine... but then it says "preparing" and starts loading demo content on the phone again.. I think i need to update...

Try going to the settings menu, then display, then screen mode. set it to "dynamic" I had it set to standard and it looked like you described..

stock rom has stopped my phone from BSOD'ing. CM7 and various other roms all had the problem. im running stock GB 2.3.4. - v20d

softlocker fixed my phone.. no more BSOD's but a little more battery drain. c'mon LG, fix my phone!

ok after trying all kinds of roms/kernels for CM i was still having BSOD's constantly after setting my RIL to the correct one for my baseband, numerous wipe/re-flashes etc, it would die every 15 mins or so randomly. Can't have such an unstable phone, so ive flashed to amnonrom to see how that...

edit now using CM7 7.2 RC and swift kernel and i just updated the RIL as the baseband and RIL were mismatched.. lets see how stable this is now. will keep you guys updated

jarmo, yeh i tried the full 204 CM7 and it crashed twice in 10 mins.. BSOD.. It's really strange. Now that i've flashed to 7.2 kang kernel AND rom it seems to be ok.. might try the vork kernel and see if that helps..

i flashed to this kang from the Release candidate CM7 and i still got a BSOD while charging overnight.. I have just flashed the newest kernel to see if that makes a difference. I'm also going to try the swift kernel to see if that stops the issue.. does anyone know why it just BSOD? Surely...

just for what its worth, so far so good with 7.2 kang.. no reboots/BSOD's yet. will keep you guys updated.

Just rooted the phone using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599&highlight=root Then installed the latest nightly CM7 and it shut down the phone to BSOD two times in the first 10 mins it was on.. and now it's doing the same with the Release candidate version...
