I still have my S7 edge. I love it, I just wish it had better palm rejection on the edge, which is why I upgraded to the Note. And yes, I only paid 650$ for my S7 edge, I do feel it's worth that much.

I was talking about the overall feel of the device, it just feels more expensive and premium. You can really tell you spent a pretty penny on it. The Note7, while it looks nicer, doesn't feel as good.

Old stereotypes are still there... yeah there's less bloatware but have you seen the RAM management on the Note5? Shameful.

5% IS ok. Just because you can get it down to 3% doesn't mean 5 isn't good. A lot of factors including signal strength can affect this greatly so it's impossible to generalize. As a rule of thumb though if it's draining 5% in 7-8 hours that's good by Android standards.

This is the best you can expect from the Note5 I think. Mine is around that. And Package Disabler Pro definitely helps with battery life

I only use Bluetooth in my car and I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Always connects as soon as I start the car and never drops the connection or anything. It syncs my contacts and everything just fine as well. I don't use Smart Lock however. Maybe try turning that off?

It's common. The Note 4 S Pen also smelled this way. Just don't smell your pen.

This is well documented I think, since I had this issue on the S6 as well. I could do a video when I get home from work but a Google search should show plenty of material on this bug.

It only works if you use the screen write option with the S Pen. A regular screenshot doesn't do the scroll capture thing.

Did you get it on your Note 3 when you upgraded to Lollipop, or also on KitKat/JB? I doubt its a problem with Android itself though. Could be just TouchWiz on Lollipop.

Okay so after using Nova and then switching to Apex and subsequently Action Launcher because of the random app problem, I've realized that it ALSO happens on ANY launcher that isn't TouchWiz. So basically this is a problem with the Note5 itself, and it's not fixable by the devs of these launchers.

Tbh it all boils down to the manager in charge or the rep you get when you take your phone in. I've heard of people being able to repair their phones even with Knox tripped, provided it was a hardware problem. Depends if you're willing to take the chance or not.

Really? I have a few adaptive chargers that I bought separately for around the house and at work, and all of them seem to be the same as the one I got in my Note5 box. Didn't notice they were slower at all.

Any adaptive fast charger will do the trick. The one included in the box of your S6 should work just fine.

There is a bug in Nova that opens up a random application when you unlock your device about 10% of the time. It's a bit annoying but you can mod Nova greatly so I still use it.

On my S6 I was able to INDIVIDUALLY hide the notification contents from the lockscreen for just Whatsapp, for example. On the Note5 I can only hide the contents for ALL apps, or individually NOT display ANY notification whatsoever for the app. Is this feature gone or just located elsewhere...

The battery life is more than great... I get like 6 hours of screen on over a 20 hour day. That's excellent, and certainly at least 30% better than my Note 4 was. And the performance is day and night difference. The Note 4 lagged everywhere. The Note5, not at all so far.

If you can live without the memory expansion and removable battery, the Note5 is MUCH better than the Note 4 in every other aspect.

Try a factory reset. If it doesn't work, get it exchanged asap.

This is a Novalauncher problem that has been around since the S6. Don't know why it's not fixed yet.
