That happens to me often, though not while slipping in one or two sims at a time. Sometimes in the evening it'll work fine, then the following morning, I get no satellite fix at all. I'd reboot, leave it trying to fix for hours, but nothing happens; so I delete gps data, reboot, wipe all caches...

Could it be your new sim's network is reporting a different location and so your phone is trying to download the new gps location almanac for the apparent "new" location?

Have you checked data availability? Do you also switch to the second sim for data? GPS needs internet connectivity to work.

Actually it's more than just the drivers. The stock samsung camera app is so integrated with the whole TW framework. At least that's what I remember from what I read here on XDA. Unfortunately, their camera app is really that good and it's the only thing I terribly miss about stock.

Hey ceo4eva, I know what you mean. I've used this workaround for a while, I create a dummy data APN and leave it default. That way, my phone has data "running", but not really and when I have an MMS pending download, I get it right away.

I had this same problem too. you'll have to use a decent wall charger, but on top of that, you need to cut open the cable and short the data lines on the phone side of it. it fools the hd2 to draw as much current from the charger as possible, so it better be a good charger. Sent from my HTC...

Yeah, I took out the initrd I put in the custom folder, then the choices worked. Kinda makes sense, since the aroma menu doesn't list a "custom" system.

Thanks anyway Dorimanx! MIUI has been a MAGldr based ROM, unfortunately I prefer clk, it seems they made rmnet default. I copied ppp specific settings and configuration files from Hyperdroid and Typhoon and finally got ppp data working again.
