For those of you having issues with this Magisk module, you could try Intra by Jigsaw Operations LLC (an Alphabet company). It permits to securely connect to Google or Cloudfare dns.
Just search for it in the Play store.
Just for your info front cam doesn't FC on my 3T.
Tested both with Google camera and the camera included with the ROM.
I use latest version of Carbon with latest version of bluespark kernel.
I did it: flashed 4.0.1 followed by SuperSU, then format dalvik and cache -> reboot
All good, no issue to report so far.
Flash 4.0.1 full, not the OTA unless you need a brick.
Upgraded from rooted 4.0 to 4.01 no problem except theme: when 1st boot in 4.01 theme was the default one even if selected was the dark theme, then tried to change it, but whatever I select it never changes and stay stuck on default theme.
Anybody else having same issue?
Yes, that you can just flash the full 4.0.
I had the same setup + root and it all went well.
Now why wouldn't you upgrade TWRP first? You would better do it now as once in 4.0 you don't know what might happen if you do it.
If your bootloader was already unlocked and you already had TWRP installed (prior to 4.0) then it is safe to flash SuperSU.
Otherwise based on experiences done by others (in this thread) I would definitely recommend to keep it as is until a new version of TWRP is out.
If you can still go back to 3.5.4 that's probably your best chance to end up with a fully working 4.0
What I did since I received my phone is the following :
1) OTA upgrade to 3.5.4
2) unlock bootloader, install TWRP and SuperSU using the 3t toolkit
3) flashed blue_spark kernel
4) restored all...
That's weird, it's working fine with OOS 4.0 on my 3t.
But I haven't had to reinstall it after flashing 4.0, TWRP survived the upgrade from 3.5.4 to 4.0.
Only SuperSU had to be flashed again.
I was on 3.5.4 with TWRP, root, encrypted and blue_spark kernel.
I just flashed 4.0 full from TWRP followed by SuperSU 2.79.
Everything works perfectly, phone is rooted and TWRP is working, I just have to wait a minute or 2 when rebooting to recovery.
Why are you all flashing first 3.5.4 FULL followed by 4.0 OTA?
If you are already on 3.5.4 with TWRP installed, you better flash directly 4.0 FULL followed by SuperSU.
That's the way I did it and it worked flawlessly.
I was on 3.5.4, unlocked, rooted and encrypted.
I simply downloaded and installed via TWRP the 4.0 full and then flashed SuperSU 2.79 before rebooting.
Everything is working fine, no issue at all to be reported
Hello Eddy,
What a quick reply! THANKS.
I thought about going back to stock, you convinced me.
Do you think this one could be ok: RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U _4.05.00.11_release_121865.exe
Is there anything I should know before installing it?
Hello,
Last night I spent hours to install LeeDrOiD V3.0.6-R2 GB on a HTC Desire: it went in a bootloop probably because the phone is S-ON and (my mistake) I had no backup. I was too confident having flashed 100 of times my galaxy s and my galaxy tab without any problem. But I'm a beginner on...
I heard that firmware 2.2.1 must be installed before gingerbread can be deployed. So it is probably good that you installed it.
Now if you really want gingerbread today go to the developers section and install the Overcome rom. In its thread you'll find a great guide if followed the installation...
If you want to flash a new rom and root it got to Overcome thread in sub-forum Galaxy Tab Android Development.
You should have no issue at all as long as you follow step by step the guides available in the Overcome thread.
Then enjoy!
Hello,
I can only suggest you to look at Overcome rom in the developers section.
There is an amizing guide explaining you step by step how to upgrade your tab and at the end you'll have a much better 2.3.3 rom than Samsung stock one.
If you still want only Samsung rom stop the update process...
Why would you stop at v 1.6.4.
You should go directly to 2.0.b2. This rom is amazing.
Just go on Overcome thread, download and READ the guide.
Then enjoy!!!
Hello,
The media scanner is no more indexing any media on my external sd.
Problem all my media are on the ext-sd so the gallery is empty and none of the music, video apps are therefore working as they don't know about my media.
I'm currently on Overcome 2.0b2.
I have installed all Overcome roms...
