Yeah, the app not working seems to have been a problem since the OOS update to 8.1. A logcat shows that it's an error with the Widevine code.

I understand the way to do it, but considering you have to manually change about 10 entries there must be some way to automate it.

I have the same problem with the L1 DRM, a logcat shows that the problem seems to be connected to ExoPlayer. This is a similar issue on a Samsung Galaxy.
