Just came from the latest lineage OS and was not happy with the lag of the system as a daily driver. My research lead me here to this rom, and it's amazing how much faster the phone operates now. From opening apps, to jumping back in forth from one app to another, this ROM is 2 to 3 times faster.

Correct. It can be a pain to unlock, and it can be a pain just to find if your lg g5 is unlockable. Only a couple of models can be unlocked, starting with the H850 Europe version. So, there is no guarantee that you can unlock any G5.

Yes, it will reboot and rewrite on it's own to remove twrp. You have to flash it, and when reboot starts, remove the battery. Insert battery and press volumn down and power to enter twrp. Flash superuser or whatever you like, and then you are good to go.

LG has to give you the unlock code for your phone. When you send them the serial number, they will know then if it is a phone of a different origin even if it's flashed with EU. In my case, I was sold a H850, but LG would not unlock it. Because, it was originally shipped as a store demo...

I updated to the last nightly (03-14-2016) and it didn't run smoothly for me. So, after a week, I wiped it and installed the 03-02-2016 and my phone is running alot better. No problems found. I'll send you a pm.
