Hello, i'm an happy owner of a OP5 and OP7 Pro, with root. A guy who plays PUBG with me has lag issue when the phone isn't charging. Is there something he can do to solve the issue without root? ( it would be very difficult to guide him through the whole procedure in order to install a custom...

I know that some people had issue after flashing OTA and TWRP installer but not Magisk... There's also a discussion here on XDA ( i can't remember exactly where...), they said that you need to flash Magisk before boot into system. ( maybe if you had root before OTA update? ) I don't have TWRP...

It is safer to uninstall Magisk Modules rather than disable them. Also i know for sure, that it you flash TWRP, and you don't flash Magisk right after ( in the slot with the new update), before booting into system, you could have boot loop...

You should have booted the image and then flash the zip for installation. If you flash the .img, you also flash the kernel inside the TWRP image, witch it could be not "right" for your system. ( ex. 9.5.7 OS could not boot with 9.5.5 kernel)

As other people said, a clean installation of the OS, and wiping all the data could be the only solution... :(

Boot with TWRP through fastboot, install the TWRP zip, install the Magisk Uninstaller on both slot, then OTA, then TWRP installer again and then Magisk.

I did the same steps, but disabling all modules, and without installing the TWRP in Magisk. I will use the installer later... For now it works, only root tough.

Probably there are some Magisk Modules that cause the bootloop... Did you try to flash a patched boot image. ( stock image 9.5.7 patched with Magisk Manager) There's a Magisk manager for recovery mode, you can try to download it, install on TWRP, disable all module and see if it will boot.

In order to being able to flash the OTA twice, you need to change slot in the recovery, right?

New update 9.5.7 for 1913 EU version is out. Witch procedure is more safer? Install through system, TWRP retention script and root install on inactive slot, or flash the full OTA in TWRP, then TWRP installer and Magisk??? Thank you!

I had the same issue, but with Magisk patched image flashed through bootloader. I solved by flashing magisk in both slot: fastboot flash boot_a name.img fastboot flash boot_b name.img Now WiFi works. Maybe try to install Magisk in TWRP on both slot... Not sure if this will work tough!

I had problems with both AdFree and AdAway. I use Root Explorer, launch it, make the system partition R/W and without closing, launch AdAway. Went fine! ;)

I found a probably solution for the problem of bootloop: If you have the folder C:\Documents and Settings\username\apktool\framework with two apk file, try to erase and make the procedure with acPatcher again. For me it works!;)

I did the install with EXT4 and get bootloop. Make the modify in file /system/etc/init.d/05mountsd ( changing the word ext3 to ext4), rom start, but no app installed. Change Ext4 in Ext3 and convert backup with 4EXT Touch Recovery, and it work. ;)

Hi, i accidentally deleted my google account. The only way to set a new one is to go under settings - privacy - and erase all data to factory state, but the phone go into bootloop. :(:(:( How can i solve this? Thank you very much!
