    Post [ROM][ICS][IML74K] teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Captivate (BUILD 17)

It gets rid of the symlink in between /data and /data/data. One of the devs (iirc) said that this would fix the issue, but make things a bit slower. Either way, its fine to flash on this rom, if you want. It just runs a script, doesn't replace any files or anything.! Sent from my SGH-I897...

    Post [ROM][ICS][IML74K] teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Captivate (BUILD 17)

It would flash on and off ( or "pulse" ) if we had a real led. The way led notifications is written means that you can only have them turn on and off. (Technically, you can write code to make them flash, but it kills the battery because the code constantly has to run). Sent from my SGH-I897...

Thats what I figured, and I know that Nexus devices are (almost?) always unlocked, but $650 is a lot to drop on a phone if I don't know for sure that I won't be able to use it, you know? :o

Post [Q] Virgin Mobile Nexus with Mobilicity sim card - unable to install market apps

Im in a similar situation as the guy above (want to use a Bell/Virgin one on Rogers). If I buy it off contract, and don't buy any service, would it still just be a matter of popping in my Rogers sim? For the record, the guy at the source said no, but retail isn't always the most knowledgeable.

    Thread [Q]Bell version sim unlocked?

Hey guys, I was looking around for an unlocked version of the Galaxy Nexus in Canada, and stumbled on some information that the Bell/Virgin versions were actually sim-unlocked (being Nexus devices, and all). Post [ROM][ICS][IML74K] teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Captivate (BUILD 17)

Pretty sure it has to do with not having the correct libraries for the gpu, and therefore not having gpu acceleration in apps. However, the Nexus S has the same gpu as us, so *hopefully* when ics for crespo drops, it'll just be a matter of using those libs.

Post [Kernel][CM7][July 12]Le kernel du jour Build #6

There should be captivate versions. I9000 kernels will mess up your touchkeys and headset logic. As for bln, there is two versions. Neldars bln, which this kernel has, and led-notifications, which every other kernel has. Led-notif has a few bugs, but overall works almost as well as bln. Sent...

Post [NIGHTLY][ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for Samsung Captivate (captivatemtd)

Are you in an area with low service on a regular basis? That would do it. Samsung hacked a bunch of ril interfaces into userspace libs, so the team can't get at them, and at least one has to do with power saving. That's why so many people have battery issues on this rom. Allows you to boot from things other than the internal sdcard, and overwrite memory on the phone. Basically, if you break a bootloader, this is the only thing that could fix it beyond re-jtaging it. At this point, there's no real point unless a) your device is bricked or b) Adam gets the...

Post [Kernel][CM7][July 12]Le kernel du jour Build #6

I know zach was testing it, not sure if he said it was stable enough though. Will certainly keep it in mind. Once you write to the uv table, the new voltage isn't used until the frequency changes. Its just the way the driver is written.

Post [Kernel][CM7][July 12]Le kernel du jour Build #6

Were you forcing 100mhz? The voltage doesn't change until frequency changes occur. It also could have just not changed the value, since it would be invalid. Try 825mv, see if that changes it. That would leave a positive voltage, but only 25mv. Also, gpuoc doesn't work properly yet, not sure...

Did you actually put a negative? Negatives overvolt, cause that's the number you subtract from the voltage. Luckily, I have a 50mv overvolt cap, so that no one accidentally burns up their phone. Also, if I remember correctly, the highest voltage is 1500mv or something. 100mhz runs at 850mv, I...
