I have problems in apks not showing up if I move them to the /system/app (tried both r66 and r69). I did change group : owner and permissions, and restart. What went wrong? Didn't encounter this with r28.

While titanium will give you this option, we will not be able to use the space if we're on S-ON. I suggest if you're on S-ON and want to regain the space, do unlock bootloader from http://htcdev.com/bootloader.

On my S-On the only way to stop market updater is to prevent it from going online by means of Avast's firewall option.

Some like it big, some like it small. I like it small. It feels more like a traditional handphone. 600MHz is indeed on the low side, and the available RAM is very limiting, but it all depends how you use it. And life definitely gets better once we root our Legends. B-)

Have you tried to calibrate your battery after installing custom ROM? Try the free battery calibration app from the market.

For me, the spec is sufficient as I don't play games that much. Still the most attractive design to replace my battered Legend. I'm currently running NewSense 1.0 RC4b ROM with a low 50-60Mb free RAM, so 512RAM ought to be enough for our needs, right (unless the new Sense UI takes more space)?

All HTC Sense has it. Since you're not on HTC, try Beautiful Widgets and its add-on, BW Animation Package. Personally I like HTC's way better, and the new version also has sound effects. B-)

have you tried uninstalling it from within the market app on your Android device?

I know Zeam Launcher (free from the market) has scrollable dock, but not sure what you mean with alternating docks.
