Hello folks, I got a SGS with carbon custom rom. It is running Android 4.2.2 . My battery life is pretty bad, i lose like 30% over night. I already reduced screen brightness but mobile standby still eats a lot of battery. Would a new kernel solve my issue? Can someone recommend one, please...

Awesome! My device is Htc Legend with some Gingerbread custom rom. I'm using fast for facebook with wifi as well as 3g but the problem stays the same.

Wifi tethering does not work on any of the cm 9 based ROMs because there are no drivers.

I dont know if it was mentioned before but answering messages doesn't work most of the time. Pressing the send button just does nothing. Other than that : great app! It has completely replaced the offical one on all my devices. :thumbup:

Hi, could someone please enlighten me how wifi tethering works? (I´ve read the first post and know that I have to use open garden - but this only works using bluetooth and not like the actual wifi tether function...?) Is there a way to use *regular* wifi tethering?

As far as I know the downloaded covers are stored as cache, because when I use an app to clear cache of all apps the covers are gone...

If that actually works, you´re my hero.

Have you specified a bios? As far as I remember the emulator also works without one, but is less stable.

What exactly do you mean by "doesn't work"? Can you load up games but they freeze, do you get a black screen?

Could he mean temporary root? (root is lost after reboot) Because there you have a superuser app but no recovery... You could try using apps that require root and check if root is gone...

Performance wise fpse is much better than psx4droid but it isn't free. Just my two cents.

That's what I did. I activated WiFi and since nothing was happening I checked the WiFi settings. Surprisingly, I couldn't find a way to add an access point there...(only apns for mobile network) But: now it's all working :D I simply installed gapps, opened Google play while having WiFi...

Just use an app like Android assistant to make a backup of the App. It will save an apk of the chosen app on your SD card.

I've heard about this problem before in a different forum. The ppl there found out that it has to do with the lenght of the plug. (some are slightly longer than others and they cause the problem) According to the guys on the other forum, it shouldnt happen with the stock headphones though...
