I've had no issues using GPS and have regularly used Maps and Waze in Android Auto.

Absolutely Google Play uses GPS to determine where you are. Might want to try switching of the location permission for Google Play and then try your VPN

I am on stock unrooted and I got it via the Oxygen Updater app with no VPN required (located in UK). App downloads the full ota and then you apply it using Settings/System Update and then select the cog from top right and then select local upgrade.

It's a requirement that if a device is to launch with Oreo then it has to be Treble compliant. It a device is upgraded to Oreo then it does not have to be compliant.

My phone just updated to Android 8.1 and now voice over 4g and voice over wi-fi are now available in settings and I have them enabled working.

Just OTA updated my stock OP5 here in the UK and now Voice Over 4G and Voice Over Wi-fi are both enabled and working on O2.

Hi, I've seen reports that Wifi Calling and Voice Over 4g works in the Oreo Beta on O2 in the UK. As long as you've activated 4g calling and Voice Over Wifi in your account the options to active it then become available in setting on the phone on the Oreo Beta apparently.

Doubtful, as the Android device, at the moment, needs to be running O2 firmware.

The OnePlus 5 is not enabled for this service on O2 in the UK. Only handsets at the moment enabled are iPhone X, iPhones 8 Plus, 8, 7, 6S, 6S Plus, 6 and SE. Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Note 8, S7, S7 Edge and J3 2017. Sony XZ Premium, XZ1, XZ1 Compact. OP 5 should be coming soon.

It's Voice Over LTE or Voice Over 4G and Voice Over WiFi basically routing voice calls over data channels.

The O2 version is exactly the same as the OP version. It comes from O2 stock and unlocked. I have the OP 5 from O2 and have received all the OTA updates direct from OP and there's no carrier bloatware.

Build date is 10th April.

I'm on UK O2 and I've just received the update. Phone is currently starting up after installing the update. Yay!
