It works fine on my Legend with this ROM.

    Post [Q] CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 - Bootloop

My bad...the RUU they refer to is nothing to do with ClockworkMod. That may come later. The RUU is explained on the HTCdev page. It is just a suitable ROM for updating the HBOOT. That said, if you could install the older Cyanogenmod, I don't understand why not this one.

    Post [Q] CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 - Bootloop

RUU isa ROM Update Utility. I believe this is the ClockworkMod Recovery software. It's been a long time since I gained root on my Legend, so I really cannot remember exactly how I did it. I think there is something in ClockworkMod that can give you temporary root, and you should then be able to...

    Post [ROM][JB+][DEV] CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 for Legend [DEC 16]

I noticed that when I installed Novalauncher, another camera app appeared. I guess one of them is stock, whilst one is modded for the Legend?

    Post [ROM][JB+][DEV] CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 for Legend [DEC 16]

On my Legend, it was "Build number" that had to be clicked 7 times - but thanks, as your post got me to the general area. As it was clicked, it said "you are now nn steps away from being a developer", until unlocking those elements. The Legend runs much more smoothly at 768MHz. Not sure I want...

    Post [ROM][JB+][DEV] CM10.1 ALPHA3 Android 4.2.1 for Legend [DEC 16]

Thanks! This is great - thanks zeubea. I was actually looking into JB for my SGS2 - but found this, so thought I'd crank up the Legend and play. Looks promising. Only problem I've found so far is that web browsing is really slow, and the links on a page aren't clickable until the page...

    Post [ROM][Cofface]Legend 4.0.3 alpha2.0

Great work - thanks to all of those working on this. I was hoping that my SGS II would be getting ICS before my Legend (I don't want to root that yet), but it was not to be. This looks really promising, and I look forward to the next update.

Post [Q] What phone to go for after Legend?

I defected from the Legend to the Galaxy S2. To be honest, had just got tired of HTC Sense and wanted a change. Absolutely love the S2. And also absolutely loved rooting and then playing around with other installs on the Legend! :D Only obstacle I have ahead of me is replacing the button bar...

Hey, I wasn't picking on you. 'Picking on someone' is bullying. I was pulling your leg. That is very different.

Is that where you can put your phone in a dress or a pair of trousers? :D

I don't think it should make a difference. I know that for rooting your phone, you sometimes need to go back a version, but for official ROMs, surely HTC can set it so that both 1.xx.xx and 2.05.xx can migrate directly to 3.xx.xx?

Post Unbranded Legend getting Froyo in few days

Oh come on! Next we'll be comparing &*%" size. I appreciate that the Desire has HD video with the Froyo update - but there isn't a great deal else that it does which is groundbreaking. My fiancee has more issues with her Desire crashing (on 2.2) than I do with my Legend. All? Even the ones that...

Post Unbranded Legend getting Froyo in few days

Second time I've heard this now. There seems to be a misguided bandwagon gathering speed (well, shifting along awkwardly on square wheels maybe). The Legend is not a mid-range device. It is/was one of several top end devices. Mid-range would probably be something more like the Wildfire, with...
