Pardon me for sounding ignorant/stupid, but how do I open WebOS Doctor? It's a .jar file and I'm unsure what to do with it.

Added another guide with some advice on choosing ROM's. I'm also working on a simple un-root guide.

Make sure you have HTC Sync version 2.0.33 installed and any previous versions of HTC Sync are un-installed.

To fix ERROR [131] you need to create a GoldCard. For a simple method, I have compiled a guide to root the vodafone HTC Legend - www.chirag.co.uk De-branding your phone doesn't unlock your phone - unless as your phone is from the vodafone Business section.

You can if you install a custom ROM.

Error 140 means that you need to re-create the GoldCard. Your phone must also be connected as, "Charge Only". You could also try plugging your phone in another USB port. Also check that you have AndroidSDK installed.

I would create a guide, but unfortunatley I don't have a HTC Legend with that version of H-BOOT.

The Nokia E50 :) I'm not too sure if it really counted as a smart phone, but it was amazing at the time! It's very thin and even had an Adobe PDF viewer! It also had QuickOffice and Nokia Catalogs - now called Ovi Store I believe :')

I have found out that the battery issue also happens on other HTC handsets. It is because of the, "Dialer" application which seems to be taking up 50% of the total power consumption. This also happen on my un-rooted HTC ChaCha/Status.

I have flashed DarkTremor. But how exactly do I know if it is working? I converted my SD Card from ext2 to ext3 and I still can't move applications over. My internal storage space is still less than 20MB. Can anybody offer any assistance please? Thanks

Again, I am pretty sure that the FbChat.apk file isn't the issue. I have deleted the file before flashing the ROM and I still have a low battery life.

So is this basically ClockWork Recovery Mod for your PC with similar permissions to S-OFF? If so, this is quite cool. Another thing I was going to ask. You say that this has been tested by over 10000 people. Have there any been any problems?

There is another issue I have noticed about Wi-Fi. Whenever I turn off my phone and Wi-Fi was off, it would automatically turn off. If Bluetooth was on, it would turn off. I'm not too sure if this a feature or not, but it can drain my battery life especially when it randomly reboots.

Is it possible to switch back to the Wildfire S ROM as this one keeps asking me to enable the "F" button for Facebook and always leaves the FB Chat Application in the background which quickly drains the battery. Several times I've also tapped on the "switch to front Camera" in the Camera app...

I suppose you are right. The Legend is a phone that is soon going to become unsupported by dev's. I personally love the speed of it. But in my opinion, I think that the stable version isn't exactly stable. I keep getting random reboots and right now, my Messages Application won't open :/

Not too sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but do people's "Fb Chat" application automatically open when you turn on your Legend? I want to disable it but I can't seem to find a way too as it is a huge battery killer and can be very annoying as I have to manually exit the application...

I have the same problem. My phone boots past the "Quietly Brilliant" screen, and I can see unlock screen. But after a few seconds, it resets and turns off and on again. It's basically a slightly longer bootloop :)

HTC Hub was working for me before HTC took the site down for "maintenance". So whatever HTC have done, have affected the use of HTC Hub. Ever since the site came back online, I cannot use the HTC Hub either.

I've stabbed my Legend with a ball-point pen before I sent it off for a replacement and it didn't sustain any scratches x) I'm not saying you should try it, but the Gorilla Glass simply is gorgeous :D
