This is because apps2SD does not show the extra space you obtain from the partition you create. It's data2ext which does that. ;)

Sup guys. Was wondering if anyone else was having problems with force closes trying to open the Sound part of Settings? I get force closes every time I try and open it. Would clearing dalvik-cache solve this or am I going down the wrong road completely?

You can't change the HBOOT on a HTC Legend if you're not S-OFF'd. Do you have S-OFF?

Please report back as to whether or not you do end up crashing/rebooting. If no crashes occur I may just start OC'ing myself again.

Me and a few others had the same problem - try rebooting your router.

I had very similar problems. The only times I ever crashed was while I was using a browser. Didn't matter what browser though - I crashed regardless. Anyway, glad I could help.

If you're overclocking, don't. I had the exact same problem and it was down to overclocking. CM7 doesn't have any flash support whatsoever, so it's not the flash plugin.

From my experience I'm getting a LOT more general stability and speed between the two builds. I'd advise you to upgrade if and when you can, though Wifi does not work for me at all anymore so if your Wifi works now I'd stick with b32...

Tried that, same issues as above... While I'm here I'll mention that I'm having consistent WiFi issues with the release version of CM7. I successfully connected to an access point once and then when I disconnected from it I could not use WiFi at all again, even after several reboots.

Apps2SD allows you to store some data from apps on the SD card. It does not affect how much internal space you have on your phone. I think what you're looking for is data2ext, for which you need an ext partition on your SD card. Read the first post for more info.

chmod 777 should only be used if you've exhausted all other methods of modifying the file. It's generally bad practice to use 777 instead of 755. Swyped from my Legend using the xda app

Hm, because you've a Class 2 card it probably isn't able to keep up with 4MB (4096) of read_ahead at a time. As previously suggested, try changing to 2048. My SD card is only Class 4 and it stutters during music playback too on 2048. I'm going to try 1024 or possibly something a little higher...

You cannot S-OFF your Legend if the HBOOT version is above 1.00. The chances of an S-OFF success do not solely depend on "how fast you press buttons". You can still use custom ROMs without S-OFF.

You're not disappointed in the way they've tried to lock down other devices in the past? The HTC Legend is a prime example. The devices HTC created were never meant to be rooted and/or modified in the first place; hackers and devs just happen to be skilled enough to do so.

If anything it'll just make 2.3 Sense based ROMs easier to create for the Legend, really. I doubt much else will come of it.

I'm willing to bet it won't happen. Why would HTC release a brand new iteration of the Android OS on older hardware? They've got very little to gain from doing so.
