If your unit version is EVR-AL00, and global rom as in the EVR-L29 version, then no. Technically it's possible if you rebrand, but you will need an unlocked bootloader.

Yes it's the official firmware from Huawei. It uses the same method as HiCare & System update to check the version of the firmware before installing. So if the dload software link is not legit your phone would not install it.

You can try to restore both to default and see how it goes. It shouldn't cause any issues as you're using the launcher constantly so the system will adjust accordingly.

Yes. Unzip it. Then open up the "Software" folder and copy the entire dload folder to the root of your SD card/USB OTG. After that turn off your phone. Then power it back on by holding all the 3 buttons until you see the Software Update screen pop up.
