Can anyone confirm Netflix works? It works on the P40 Pro. Lastest update for Netflix app works on P40 Pro. Don't need to use an older version. But so far I haven't heard from Mate 30 Pro users.

I would get the chinese version. They get updates sooner than the other versions. I have an AL00 and got the 9.1 update like 2 months ago. The european version is updating to 9.1 today.

That's probably because the settings for your region are not correct or you lost OTA updates privileges because of a modified ROM was installed or was forced previously. I am not sure but could be other reasons.

What I am doing lately is leaving the phone during the night charging on a 300mA charger so it slowly charges from about 20 to 50-60% . Because that's enough for my type of use. And I try not to charge the battery close to 100% unless it's an emergency.

I think max brightness under direct sunlight is the only weakness this device has. Its not too bad for me because I don't normally have to look at the display in those conditions but I think just 5 to 10% more brightness would be perfect.
