I had some expectations from the new G5 upon the trend begun with G2 continued with G3 and until the G4, but unfortunately LG disappointed me with G5. I think for the first time I will prefer a Samsung device (S7 edge) this time.

Only the Korean builts listed, not D855 at the moment. Hope LG do it again, like they did last year with LP upgrade, and we get MM anytime soon, then I will definitely stick with LG for my next phone too (summer 2016)

Finally! 20h update has arrived in Sweden too. Liked the Lollipop navigation buttons and hope battery time will be as good as it was so with the KK before, at least. We'll see.

With Lollipop, ART is no longer a choice as it is implemented permanently i.e. the os is working on ART runtime only, and, screen-cast function is working well on Lollipop, so it is no longer a matter now.

Weird.. Mine is not branded though it was bought on contract from Tre and previous updates come as soon as they were released for the region (got the first major update, Lollipop, on Dec 18th and 20f update on Jan 14th, but 20h has not been released yet (LG G3-D855 /EU, 32/3Gb)

Most in-car chargers are delivering 1A output, LG wall charger for G3 is 5V 1.8A. I use an in-car charger with both 1A and 2A outputs (twin), the latter, 2A connection, does its job well (which actually is for charging tablets like iPad in car). Shortly, if you want to get an effect like in LG...

Use Nova Launcher... (+1) You can assign gestures to show/hide status bar and the dock (I use double finger swipe up to show/hide status bar, and down for the dock icons. In the settings you can select Nova to hide nav bar which will complete the trick for you. Like this...

Not working in my case. Saying "connecting" then after just one second "disconnecting" without any reason, really annoying. Can someone advise/confirm this is because of ART (or not)?? Or, is my chromecast device defected(?)

I hv bought and started using chromecast today. It works with YouTube, but screen mirroring is not working (connecting, then disconnecting msg appears and disappears). Can that be due to ART? Or, what am I doing wrong? (chromecast ver 1.7.4 & everything seemed correct to me).

Hv seen the same behaviour after an app update run manually via playstore. It lasted 2 to 3 seconds though the update was completed already. Just a small thing, such not bothering me at all.

This is a moderate usage with auto brightness. 32/3Gb D855 EU model, stock i.e. untouched. That's enough for me.

It took pictures itself in my jeans pocket. I am using quick circle case and in order for it to do that first a double tap must be executed, then swipe the screen on any direction to get to the icons and tap on the camera icon, then again to capture a pic. All done in this order apparently...

I hv enabled ART on day one, first applied a factory reset though, then installed Nova and my favourite apps without issues. Everything is working fine, no lags, no overheating or whatever.

As said, it can be removed, at least on D855 model, maybe it is not the case with f400. Btw, when I hv emptied the lockscreen and locked and waked the again, voalaa! It was there again, means the device won't let it be empty. Was that the situation in your case? If so, then immediately put any...

Where can I find the quick music app for download?

Weird.. I have removed it (the local time widget in a circle) for your sake, now want it back but no chance; I cannot find it within the list of available lockscreen widgets. ? not a big problem though. What version of G3 is yours? (mine is D855, 32/3Gb EU version, untouched)

Google camera and Google Photos apps are all you need (Photos comes with G+ app, not as a standalone app) I have taken some photosphere pics both in and outdoors without issues, worked well and the results were quite impressive on each. Again, stock gallery app doesn't support this feature.

Sound quality was one of those prios for me too in determining whether or not buying G3 as my next device after Htc One-X as it has decent audio quality thanks to beats audio. And G3 is not worse than it. I use Pioneer HDJ-500K at home, and connecting to the car audio via aux ti listen to music...
