This is a known and common problem. This occured no matter what rom I used. Stock or Custom. It could be carrier related.

You could re-flash the rom to fix this. Also try restoring the default value through a build prop editor.

This was a problem for me until the latest CM 12 update, I think this was due to the proximity sensor. Once I turned it off everything went back to normal. Then the latest update fixed it.

You can't root lollipop as of yet. The only way to root is to downgrade to Kitkat.

Using the LG Flash Tool is alot easier and also has a tutorial to follow.

Since you device in now unrooted there will be no problem in updating. The update may show up some time, but you can always flash it if you want to. NOTE: Lollipop CAN NOT be rooted.

Yea, that phone definitely has 2GB of RAM.

Not all of the 32GB D855 have the 3GB of RAM. If you are still not sure, provide a screenshot so I can take a look.

If you are trying to unlock the phone to use with a different carrier, Flashing the ROM has no effect. (You probably couldn't flash it anyway) It would probably be best to look for a service online that could unlock the G3 for you.

If you download the LG PC Suite and click on "Restore Upgrade errors" it should reflash the current version, but i'm not sure as it might download the latest which is lollipop. You could also flash your KDZ file using the LG Flash Tool. Without the need for a DLL file.

The only trace of root is the rct.cfg file but after a clean flash it is reset. You can flash through LG PC Suite. By selecting "Restore Upgrade errors". or using the LG Flash Tool

What network are you currently using? or is it an unlocked phone. A country name would also be helpful as that's how the files are organized.

This firmware you want is A6VF, it is near the bottom of the list. The reason I use purpledrake over stump is because some times it won't root and says "...Not supported" but feel free to try stump if you want and if it doesn't work just use purpledrake.

It isn't possible as it will brick your device or create a bootloop, as they are completly different varients and are not compatible with each other.

For me I haven't experienced any problems so far apart from loss of signal which requires a restart. In my opinion it seems very stable to be used as a daily driver.
