    Post MIUI V11.0.4.0.QDGMIXM global stable

The other mi browser is just called 'browser' in app list, this is one which was used before update. Its still recognized as system app so cant be uninstalled. The new 2nd one is getting updates from play store, its called mi browser pro which you can see if you go into settings on the browser...

    Post MIUI V11.0.4.0.QDGMIXM global stable

Well it does 'work well' but there are bugs which shouldn't be there if there was some basic testing done, as I have mi9 se with same rom version and no such bugs, both updated through ota. Wireless charging no longer tells you if phone is placed properly or not, or if it is slow/fast charging...

Terrible rom. No improvements, just lots of bugs and really horrible performance. MIUI 10 with Pie was way better

    Post MIUI V11.0.4.0.QDGMIXM global stable

I got a new mix 2s recently, brand new sealed with Android 8. I did a test on video playback as curious. After Pie update SOT on same everything dropped 2hours. It was 9 hours before and 7 after. After seeing that I'm afraid to update it to Android 10 but I wonder if there could be an improvement.

    Post Standby drain

Exactly the same. It seemed normal at first (1%every2.5hours) but then I remember it doing that the odd time before. Low and behold it is now back to draining at 1% per hour standby in airplane mode.

Post How to retain almost 100% battery capacity

I'm not saying fast charge is bad, for sure some people can benefit... but the fact my 3 year old phone still has 99% capacity after 3 years and hundreds of charge cycles, and was only charged at maximum 500mah kind of proves that the key to keeping battery capacity is slow charging. I didn't do...

Post How to retain almost 100% battery capacity

The issue is I think most people have a habit of using their quick charger at night, when it is not needed. You sleep for much longer than the phone takes to charge, even with 0.5a speed. The only time there is a benefit from quick chargers is during the day, but how many people really need to...

Thread How to retain almost 100% battery capacity

I have a theory...maybe it was a fluke or maybe its true. I have a 3 year old phone, which I owned from new and has had hundreds of charging cycles, but still has 99% battery capacity of a brand new phone according to both accubattery and measuring with plug in monitor. I've only ever charged it...

    Post XIAOMI CC9 problem. Doesn't start-up and doesn't charge

Did you buy from Mi Global store? I bought cc9 from them, it is most certainly a refurbished phone and not new, looks like it had a screen replacement done. They are up to no good with this model...also see another buyer received broken back glass even though there was no damage to the box

Post MI 9 SE Battery problem

Ok, just there is a download icon in status bar, maybe it was just when you took the sceenshot. Either way, your issue is consistent standby drain since there is not much difference in graph between battery drain during screen on, and battery drain during standby. You should check with mobile...

Most likely they have wrong info in the ad and person you contacted just took the info from there. Or there is a shortage of global version, so that seller replaced their global version ad without fixing the title. Heres 3 other sellers https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32977639245.html...

Google pay will not work on CC9 with the official China rom, they don't get it certified by google since google isn't used in China. You'll need to flash a custom rom like xiaomi.eu and even then it can be difficult to get it working. CC9 will never get a an official global rom, if the phone is...

No DC dimming yet in the stable rom. Thats only available in the beta rom as its still a work in progress. From what I've read on the Chinese forum, it doesn't work properly yet. On your link, they have 10.3.1.0 but its under global stable, check again. EU stable 10.3.3.0 on that website is not official rom, it is xiaomi.eu third party rom based on china stable. For official global stable, 10.3.1.0 is the latest and just released today.

Post Changing the 64GB GLOBAL version to EEA 128GB.

You can install EEA firmware on your device if you think it might be better. Post Standby drain

The standby drain has suddenly increased again, fingerprint still disabled, but its a new issue this time. I couldn't be bothered waiting for 2 days as I already know its going to be 1% an hour. It went from 100-89% in 11hours , I turned off the fingerprint 2 hours ago and its still 89%. So looks like it is the fingerprint, will leave it for another while just to be sure.

That doesn't seem too bad but its hard to pinpoint standby issues when the phone is being used normally, even though it is still stealing your battery at a steady rate during the day. I'll let my phone standby for 2 days with fingerprint enabled, then disable fingerprint and let it for another 2 days standby to see if it will confirm your suspicion. I also thought the fingerprint might be causing standby drain as its new tech so could be unoptimized.

    Post Standby drain

Mi9 SE standby is bad, even with no sim card. Drains 2x faster than mi5 even though mi5 battery is old and only has 2000mah capacity left. Mi9 SE in theory should be more power efficient due to newer cpu. Something is going on here.
