I got a new mix 2s recently, brand new sealed with Android 8. I did a test on video playback as curious. After Pie update SOT on same everything dropped 2hours. It was 9 hours before and 7 after. After seeing that I'm afraid to update it to Android 10 but I wonder if there could be an improvement.

Exactly the same. It seemed normal at first (1%every2.5hours) but then I remember it doing that the odd time before. Low and behold it is now back to draining at 1% per hour standby in airplane mode.

Looks like you are downloading in background? Downloading with 4g will drain battery very fast in standby.

If they say global version if means global version... if its chinese version with global rom they will just put 'global rom' in title.

Google pay will not work on CC9 with the official China rom, they don't get it certified by google since google isn't used in China. You'll need to flash a custom rom like xiaomi.eu and even then it can be difficult to get it working. CC9 will never get a an official global rom, if the phone is...

On your link, they have 10.3.1.0 but its under global stable, check again. EU stable 10.3.3.0 on that website is not official rom, it is xiaomi.eu third party rom based on china stable. For official global stable, 10.3.1.0 is the latest and just released today.

It is global, not eu. zip means recovery rom, tgz is fastboot rom.

You can install EEA firmware on your device if you think it might be better. I believe the reason global rom is slightly behind eu rom is because they were working on the developer rom which is now released, that developer rom is way ahead of any stable rom in terms of features, you won't see...

The standby drain has suddenly increased again, fingerprint still disabled, but its a new issue this time. 'Android' is keeping the phone awake and shows solid blue bar in battery stats so its awake constantly. Been going for about 5 hours at 2% per hour. I haven't installed anything new changed...

I couldn't be bothered waiting for 2 days as I already know its going to be 1% an hour. It went from 100-89% in 11hours , I turned off the fingerprint 2 hours ago and its still 89%. So looks like it is the fingerprint, will leave it for another while just to be sure.

I'll let my phone standby for 2 days with fingerprint enabled, then disable fingerprint and let it for another 2 days standby to see if it will confirm your suspicion. I also thought the fingerprint might be causing standby drain as its new tech so could be unoptimized.

Mi9 SE standby is bad, even with no sim card. Drains 2x faster than mi5 even though mi5 battery is old and only has 2000mah capacity left. Mi9 SE in theory should be more power efficient due to newer cpu. Something is going on here.
